Gilmore Girls

Hey guys! Welcome back. It’s officially July and I am so excited!!! I can’t wait to see the progress I make and to connect with you guys. I have 11 followers now and you have no idea what that means to me. I never thought I would get one, so to have 11 when I’ve been doing this for 15 days is huge for me. I plan to keep working hard so I can see that number continue to increase. Comment below if you’re following me. And if your not and you like this post follow me to see more like it.

So I know it’s Saturday, but I wanted to get my regular Friday post up. It’s another favorites post. This one is all about Gilmore Girls. I love this show and have since I first started watching. The fast paced dialogue and witty banter is to die for. This post isn’t necessarily going to be a list of things I love (like a 1….. 2…. 3… type thing). I’m more or less just going to start talking about Gilmore Girls and all the things I love and don’t love about it. Disclaimer: There may be spoilers. So if you haven’t watched or are still watching and don’t want to know anything that happens you may not want to read this yet. Come back when you’ve finished it.

Let’s start with Lorelai Gilmore. Lorelai is one of my favorite characters of all time. She’s quirky and smart and loving and just everything you want in a best friend. Hello run-on sentence! But anyway, I love everything she embodies. She went from a rich, entitled life to a life that she made for herself. She knew what she wanted and she went out and got it. She was very successful at what she did, and best of all is she did most of it without help. She was a great mom and friend. She is definitely one of the greatest things to come out of this show.

And now moving on to Rory Gilmore, Lorelai’s daughter. She was smart, kind, and just all around adorable. She made some questionable decisions, but who hasn’t? I love Rory. She literally lived out my dream on a TV show. I want her relationship with Lorelai, her education background, and I also wouldn’t mind her love life. She was one of the most sincere people and absolutely humble. A great character.

I loved watching the relationships on this show. Not just between Rory and Lorelai, but their relationships with other people. From family to friends to love interests, there was no one relationship like another. I must admit I wasn’t the biggest fan of Logan’s when he first appeared on screen, but he grew and like most characters I grew to love and appreciate the dynamic his character brought. I don’t necessarily have a pick when it comes to who I love most with Rory. I think they were all great for her at the times in her life they were with her. Dean was a great first boyfriend. Their relationship had it’s flaws, but they weren’t experienced in the dating world. Jess allowed her to live out every teenage girl’s “bad boy” fantasy, while also giving her stimulating conversation. And I honestly saw Logan and Rory ending up together. As far as Lorelai goes I loved her and Luke together. From the beginning I knew it was destiny. But I also adored Max Medina. I thought he was a great suitor.

The people of Stars Hollow were all so unique. Kirk was my favorite. Each person had their own story and personality and it gave the show a great dynamic. Each character was so well written that it was hard not to love them all. They all had their own problems and things, but you could tell the whole town loved each other. That’s something you don’t see a lot of. The show contained such grace and poise that it was hard not to fall in love with the characters.

The show had a sarcastic nature that was so sweet and charming. Lorelai and Luke’s battles were my all time favorite. I loved listening to them go back and forth. I also loved Lorelai’s one-liners, like “Oy with the poodles already”. It is definitely a classic. The sarcasm was so sweet and charming and gave the show something so unique and special. It wasn’t overdone or too much. It was fast paced and witty.

The show and characters were so special and will always have a special place in my heart. There are some of the many things I love about Gilmore Girls. There are so many little things to love. Comment below some of your favorite things about the show. Also, don’t forget to follow me on here and on Twitter @geekygirl415. Thanks for reading and I will see you next time!
