This is a very special post to me. Just the other day my morals were tested. I was tested. I had to decide whether I should stick to the morals I set in place for myself or do what I felt I was being pressured to do. I won’t get into any gritty details because it is a family matter and hard to explain. But I wanted to write a piece about having morals and sticking to them because I feel we all face the challenges and struggles.

I define morals as the guidelines I set in place for myself to do what is right and to be a good person. Morals are important and I think everyone should have them. Whether you, society, or religion set them you need them in your life. They aren’t always practical or convenient but they keep the world turning.

Keeping face in a world full of people who would rather do the wrong thing is difficult. I find myself questioning why I do the right thing when it will only backfire on me. And then I remember that I need to stay true to myself and what I believe in. It is true that I practice religion and believe in God. And my morals are surrounded by that faith. I am comfortable with my religion, but I don’t want this to turn into a religious post.

I am simply reminding you that even if you don’t follow a religion, putting rules and guidelines in your life on how you should treat yourself and others is vital. No one is perfect, but in such a scary world we need to treat others with kindness and love. Acceptance and respect are essential.

This was a shorter post, but I hope you enjoyed it. Thank you so much for stopping by. Don’t forget to like this and follow if you’re not already. Comment below some of the posts you would like to see and I will see you next time. Thanks!
