Hi guys! Welcome back. Today is such a special post for me. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy writing all of them, but I think this one is especially meaningful. Today I am going to share a little bit about my past and where I am today. I think it’s nice when we get to share things with other people that can encourage and inspire them. So if you are reading this and are in a dark place or a rough spot, I hope this helps. And if you would like to hear more just keep reading.

I grew up in a very abusive home. My childhood, while not the worst, was not the best. My mother would sometimes beat me (not like a normal parent) and would other times verbally assault me. There were times I considered suicide. Even now at almost 20 years old, I still fear my mother. I know I shouldn’t, but she is my nightmare. As a child I didn’t have bad dreams because my sleep was the only true peace I ever got. I still don’t have many bad dreams.

At an early age I knew I needed distance. And so throughout school I knew that college was my way out. Not the only way, but the best way. It opened doors for me that weren’t available for me. I am truly blessed. But it wasn’t always easy. Even though I knew I wanted to go to college and further my education, there was always a fear that I wouldn’t be able to because I had no money and neither did my parents. But in the end it came through and I am currently a sophomore in college.

I had a very scary childhood. And my past has made me the person that I am. Some good, some bad. But I think that’s true for everyone. The point is, I grew through those challenges. I have insecurities and fears. But I also have strength and confidence. People face struggles and overcome challenges everyday. There is no way of avoiding it. But there is a lesson to come from everything. And once you figure that out, the rest is pie. you will have good days and you will have bad days, but if you stay true to yourself and allow yourself to see the changes, you will come out a better person every time.

So don’t fear the bad. Don’t fear change. Sometimes it can do wonders to your life. I’m not saying keep the toxic and negativity in your life. But if you are faced with such things, learn from them. Grow. Become a better person. Don’t allow that to bring you down. Raise your head and be proud of who you are and how far you have come. Nothing is worth you losing your motivation or potential. Stay near the light and keep going.

The bad days can be difficult, but that only makes the good days better. Everything you are facing now, whether it’s good or bad, is shaping you for tomorrow and many days after that. So don’t be afraid. Be ready. Challenge yourself and see where life can take you. Life is a wonderful gift and should not be taken lightly. So just remember that all the things you are going through are important to your character and your story. So grow into the incredible person you are meant to be because of them.

Thank you so much for reading. I hope you enjoyed this. If you did don’t forget to like it. Leave a comment about yourself so we can get to know each other. It doesn’t have to be super personal. Also, comment some things you would like to see from me. Please follow if you’re not already and I will see you next time!
