Hey guys! Welcome back. First of all, thank you so so so so so so much for all the love and support I received today. I am so eternally thankful for each one of you. I loved doing this even before anyone was reading anything, but having readers and followers motivates me to try harder and stick with it. So thank you. And with that being said, I wanted to talk about today. It’s been one of the best, craziest days of my life. So I wanted to kind of document it and let you guys see what happened and things like that.

First of all, I didn’t sleep at all last night. I slept for my an hour. It wasn’t about my birthday or anything, I was just so anxious and nervous because school is starting in a few weeks and I am not prepared at all. I still have to change my major, a few classes, pack, and get there! So much to do, so little time. But anyway, I spent about six and a half hours last night on my computer trying to figure out what I want to do. I was recently an Education major, but dropped out for many reasons. If you want a post about that let me know in the comments. But there are just so many things about being an Education major in Kentucky that are weird and kind of ridiculous at times.

But I also knew that I still wanted to teach. To teach without an Education degree I would have to major in a content area and then teach high school or college. So I made the bold decision to look into teaching at colleges. Being a college professor was never necessarily part of the plan, but the more I thought about it, the more it made sense. So after I figured out what I want to do, I needed to decide on a major. And I was clicking through each major. And I came across what is known as a Contract Major. Basically you choose 2-3 majors and combine them to create your own nifty major. And at the end of it all, in your final semester as an undergrad, you present a project, something create, research and talk about it, etc. That is the route I am taking because I want to do History and English as majors with a Communications minor. I feel like that will open so many doors and opportunities.

So the first thing I accomplished today is determining what I want to do and the direction I want to take it. After deciding that worked through some logistics. The next thing is I found out who my roommate is going to be!!! I signed up to have an international roommate last semester and I’ve been waiting all summer to find out who it is. I had a roommate from China my Freshman year and I loved her. So I wanted to try it out again to see if I can have another great experience. My roommate this year is from Japan. I won’t put her name here for privacy reasons, but I am so excited. I can’t wait to meet her and get to know her.

The last thing pertains to my actual birthday. The rest of it was just really exciting and I wanted to share it. For my birthday I got a new phone. It’s not fancy. It’s another android phone. But I am so glad I got a new phone! I also had the best chocolate cake ever tonight. Today I turned 20. And this year is off to a pretty great start. If you haven’t checked out my 20 Things I Learned Before 20 post definitely be sure to check that out.

But that is it. Thank you so much for reading. I hope you enjoyed it and I hope you keep coming back. Don’t forget to like this as it really helps me out and follow this blog if you’re not already. And I will see you next time.
