Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I wanted to talk about dating in college. Well, my version of dating in college anyway. It’s different for everyone. Some people are incredible lucky, while others have a really hard time. Regardless of where you hit on the spectrum, dating in college has it’s good times and bad.

Most people are super busy, so meeting people in college is difficult. And most of us have super high, unrealistic expectations when it comes to finding a partner. Dating in college is not easy and for most of us, we don’t end up with whoever that person is that we maybe did date in college.

As I said, some people are lucky. Some people get engaged. Some people get married. But we aren’t all that lucky. Some of us have really bad experiences with dating. Not everyone dates exclusively. Not everyone you date is going to want to go either way. You have to learn that everyone is different, and therefore, every relationship is different.

Dating requires a lot of time management. In college, everyone is really busy. So if you want to date you have to have time management and be able to fit another person in your life. That’s no easy task. There are always things going on, so when it comes to dating you may find that you simply don’t have the time for it.

You have to be prepared for a long distance relationship. You might end up in a relationship with someone who live in another city or even another state. It’s not always easy or fun, but sometimes that’s what happens. You have to figure out if you are okay with that and if you can handle a relationship that involves distance.

It won’t be extravagant. No matter who you end up dating, you won’t be going on Bachelor-style dates. There won’t be limos, and in most cases there won’t be flowers. That’s not to mean you should settle for the first thing that comes your way, but you shouldn’t expect anything that happens in the movies. If that does happen, appreciate and acknowledge it, but never expect it.

Know you worth. Know what you value in a relationship and seek that out. Don’t settle, but don’t believe that it will glamorous. Find a happy middle. Find someone who is going to make you happy and value who you are for you. Dating in college is not easy, but you may just end up being one of the lucky ones. Don’t give up and keep fighting for what you want.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like this if you did. Let me know in the comments if you have any other questions. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
