Hey guys! Welcome back. I know that so many of us, including myself, struggle with anxiety and knowing how to deal with it. For a long time it help me back from so much because I was afraid and anxious. But I found a few coping mechanisms and I wanted to share them with you today. These are all simple things that don’t require a lot. These are things that I find enjoyable and relaxing that calm my mind and body. My anxiety adds a lot of stress in my life that I don’t need, so I knew I needed to find ways to remove that unnecessary stress. So here are my coping mechanisms for myself.

1. Taking time for myself. Whether it’s an hour or a day, taking time for myself is really important when I feel anxious. When it’s warm I will go outside and walk around. The sunlight and fresh air really helps me get my thoughts and feelings together. I also enjoy reading, writing, and listening to music when I am taking time for myself. This is time where I am not working on anything, I am just enjoying my time away from everyone and everything.

2. Deep cleaning. I know to some people when I say this, they think it is strange. But cleaning for me is so relaxing. It’s such a satisfying thing to go from a giant mess to a clean space. It helps my mind feel a little more organized and clear. Deep cleaning allows me to focus on something new and stop stressing about other things. I will listen to music sometimes, but other times I will do deep thinking where I reevaluate certain things or try to make decisions about things.

3. Read my Bible. When I feel anxious, there is no better cure than to spend time with God. It is my safe place and a place I can go if I am alone, confused, or fearful. Spending time reading what the Bible has to say often gives me peace and a new perspective on things. I enjoy being able to sit and be comforted by all God has to offer me. I remember that God is faithful and is always there for me when I need Him.

Those are the ways I cope with anxiety! What are some of yours? Let us know in the comments. Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
