Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I wanted to share with you the first four things I do when I work on something. Whether it is going to work, working on the blog, doing an assignment, or working on a side project, there are four things I always do that help keep me organized and ensure that I know what I am doing and I am prepared. Here are those four things.

1. Do the most important thing first. When it comes to working on something that is going to take time, I like to get the biggest or most important thing out of the way first. If something needs to be done immediately, there is no point in waiting and doing other things. If I can do the biggest thing first, it helps me know that it is out of the way and saves me from stress later on.

2. Scan for issues. I always like to scan for issues or red flags periodically, but I like to do this in the beginning to see if I have any immediate issues I need to take care of. I check my email to see if anything has been changed or dropped. I check to see if I need to respond to anyone or ask any questions. This prevents me from stopping mid-project and getting discouraged or distracted.

3. Create a to-do list. I love lists, so this is no issue for me. But if you are not a person who loves making lists, I would skip this step. But if you do find them helpful, I like to make a to-do list for each task. This way I am focused and organized and know each step I need to finish before moving on. This is especially helpful for a big project or assignment that I will be spending a lot of time working on.

4. Consult other people. If it is blog or work related, I check in with my team to make sure they are on track and know what’s going on. If it is class or assignment related I check in with classmates to make sure I know what I am doing. Discussing with others helps me know I am on the right track and stay focused on what I’m doing and not get distracted by anything else.

Those are my four things! Do you have any rituals like this? Let us know in the comments. Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
