Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you had a great week. I believe that we are all capable of great things. I believe we have the power to do anything we set our minds to. But that does not mean we have to do it all at once. In fact, it really doesn’t make a lot of sense to do everything at once. There are a lot of reasons for this, which I will talk about, but a big one is that you aren’t enjoying anything if you keep jumping around. If you sit down and focus, you are more likely to get things done. Here are some more reasons why we shouldn’t try to do everything at once.

1. It’s not productive. You get nothing accomplished by trying to do everything at once. It is counteractive. You get less done by jumping from task to task. You should focus on what is most important to you first and then work from there. Give your attention to what you are trying to accomplish and things will start getting done a lot faster and you will be more effective and efficient at completing your tasks.

2. It causes more stress. Trying to do everything at once is only going to cause you more stress. You will be trying to give your undivided attention to more things than you can handle and you will become overwhelmed. This is not good for productivity. You also stress out the people in your life because they know that you are stressed and it affects every aspect of your life. Dividing and conquering is the best way to get things done and reduce the amount of stress you have at one moment.

3. It affects your health. In a negative way. Sure, you start off thinking skipping lunch a few times won’t hurt. Then you have a couple of sleepless nights. Then you stop taking time to rest at all. Before you know it, you are sick and things are worse than ever before. If you don’t slow down and take the time to do one thing at a time, you health will take a negative turn. Just like if you don’t take one bite at a time, you will choke. You don’t want to choke on everything you have going on. So it’s best to focus on one thing at a time.

4. Quitting will start to seem like the best option. When you try to do everything at once, you might start feeling like quitting might be the best option. You will have too much on your plate and just want to throw in the towel. The best thing when you feel like quitting is to focus on the biggest thing and get that out of the way. That way you will feel accomplished and more motivated to keep going.

Did I leave anything out? Let me know in the comments. Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!

Very good advice! I have been doing too much lately between my full time job, my blog and my family. I stressed myself and my husband out so much that I had to take a week off from all things related to my blog. I am back now but will be taking it very slow. I may only be able to get 1 post out a month now but at least I will still be active.

    1. Absolutely! It doesn’t matter how often you post as long as you are consistent and communicate with your audience. Sometimes having too much going on causes issues and we have to step back. There is nothing wrong with that. The issue comes when we refuse to see what is happening and just keep going.

Completely agree! My boyfriend owns 3 of his own businesses and now wants to start a 4th 🙈 I know he can do anything he sets his mind to, but I’m worried he’s putting too much on his plate lately…
