Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you had a great week. I am trying to make it through next week (finals week). I am struggling, but it’s all going to be okay. Anyway, today I thought I would talk about fear and everything that is surrounded by that. If you are anything like me, you probably say “what if” a lot. You start thinking negatively like “what if I don’t get it” or “what if I fail”. It happens to me a lot. It normalizes fear which makes us feel safe in not chasing our dreams. It’s a cop out.

So instead of thinking “what if”, a much more promising phrase is “even if”. This phrase is rooted more in faith than fear. So even if the worst happens, something else will happen instead. Even if everything goes wrong, it’s because that is how they were supposed to go. Everything happens for a reason, regardless of whether or not you can see it right now. This is your ticket to positivity that allows you to think more clearly and be rational. So here are some ways that you can incorporate “even if” into your life and see a difference in how you look at your goals.

1. Choose positivity. You should always choose to be positive, even when you don’t want to. It will help you see the good in yourself and the situation. It’s easy to let fear and negativity win. It’s easier to let yourself be negative so you can stay in your comfort zone and never try anything new. But where is that going to take you? Where are you going to go in life if you always let your fears control you. It’s less work if you just let yourself be afraid to try anything. “Even if” is a little more difficult because you have to actually work for what you want. It means that you have to go after something that you are not 100% sure about. But it’s worth it if it is something you really want.

2. Make it a mantra. This sounds cheesy and it absolutely is. But you have to constantly remind yourself to choose faith over fear. It is scary, but you only get one life and you should make the most of it. You won’t have everyone on your side at all times. But if you don’t believe in yourself, no one else will either. Having a constant reminder to choose “even if” can change your outlook on every situation in your life. As you remind yourself everyday to choose faith, you will start using it in your routine without even noticing.

3. Let faith be bigger than fear. Fear is a natural part of life. So I am not saying that you should never be afraid of anything. What I am saying is that you can’t let it run your life. Because you won’t get anywhere. Instead, you have to have faith. You have to trust that every situation is going to work out exactly how it is supposed to. Have faith that your life is not a coincidence. If one door closes, another will open. You just have to be patient and understand that life has a funny way of giving us exactly what we need.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let us know in the comments what your thoughts on “even if” are. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
