Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I wanted to talk to you about the best advice I have ever received. I just think it is a really important life lesson for everyone, even if it’s not the best advice you have ever heard. But I am really curious to hear what yours is, so leave it in the comments. But to me this is the most important, life changing thing I have ever heard. It completely changed the way I looked at the world, the things going on around me, and more importantly it forever changed the way I looked at myself. This is something I have learned to take to heart whenever something comes up.

There are a lot of people in my life that I would not model my life after. There are a lot of people who often judge me and the decisions I make based on their own standards. But that is not my journey. It is more than that. My journey is based on me alone so I wanted to share the advice that changed my life. Some once told me never take criticism from anyone you wouldn’t take advice from. This completely changed everything for me. I was letting so many people criticize and judge me for my choices and how I live my life. But the truth is that my journey is different from there’s. My life is a different path. I am a different person.

I would not take advice from these people. I would not trust them to help me make important life decisions. So I should not take their criticism either. People judge based on their own lives. They see things through their own eyes. Everyone sees things differently. Perception is everything and that is extremely important to remember. People are going to judge. People are going to have opinions. But I have learned that if their advice is not something I would take to heart, their criticisms shouldn’t be either.

I try my best to live my life by my own standards. I make decisions based on what I know is right for me and what I believe to be in my best interest. I can’t take advice or criticism from people who are not me. Because at the end of the day it is my life and I have to live it. I have to be happy and content with the choices I make and the people I allow in my life. So it may not be popular, but it’s mine and I’m okay with that.

Life is too short to spend it trying to live someone else’s version of who you should be. Figure out who you are meant to be and then do it unapologetically. Life is messy. Life is strange. Life is incredible. And if you need advice, make sure it is from someone you trust. But don’t take criticism from anyone you wouldn’t trust to give you advice. Those people don’t matter at the end of the day. They have opinions, and that’s okay. But that should not dictate your life.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let me know in the comments what your favorite advice is. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!

This post could not be written any better! Looking through this article reminds me
of my previous roommate! He constantly kept preaching about this.
I most certainly will forward this post to him.
Fairly certain he’s going to have a good read.
