Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I wanted to give you a little more insight into my blog and how I run it on a daily basis. Today I wanted to share my blogging process. Starting with coming up with ideas to promoting them and growing my blog. These are the steps I take from beginning to end to help me create content and grow my blog. I always enjoy reading what other people do, so I figured I would share mine. Hopefully this inspires you and helps you organize your own process for your blog.

1. Coming up with ideas.

Ideas can pop up at any time from anywhere. So whenever I get an idea or some inspiration I write it in my notebook as soon as I can. I used to struggle with coming up with fresh content, but now that I have a journal with hundreds of ideas, it’s easier. But then I have to choose something from the pages upon pages, so it’s a bit challenging. I usually just go through the list until I stumble across something that I feel convicted to write about and share.

2. Planning.

When it comes to planning blog posts, I try to do this at least a week or month in advance. It just helps me feel more organized and helps me not have to worry about what I am going to write about. Of course, I don’t always stick to my plans and sometimes I change my mind. But I’ve learned that it’s important to be flexible and open to better ideas if they come up. Once I know what blog post I am going to write, I think about what I am going to say, images I need to create, and anything else I need to know beforehand. This just keeps me on track and prepared a little more.

3. Writing.

The writing process for each post is pretty straight forward. I just go through my outline if I have one, or write out my thoughts. I just get it all down and try to include everything I need to. It’s kind of like a brain dump session that will become a blog post eventually. It’s pretty simple.

4. Editing.

I usually try to step away or work on something else before I start editing. It just allows me to clear my mind and not go straight into working on fixing things. I allow myself a break to work on other things and I come back to it once I am ready. It’s pretty time-consuming when you’re a perfectionist with your writing, but it is so worth it because thee end result is so much better.

5. Promoting.

Once I hit “Publish”, my work is far from being finished. It’s time to promote my content on social media. I have to create graphics to share, figure out what to say, and promote the content several times in order to reach the maximum amount of people. But I have learned that I can’t sleep on promoting my blog.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I really hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let me know in the comments what your blogging process is like. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!

  1. I find the promoting on social media the hardest bit – the writing is the part I enjoy the most, the social media side just seems a little like trying to climb a mountain with none of the right things to do so!

    1. If you ever need help you can join my blogger mentorship program and I can help you with that! I will also have resource guides available very soon that will help!

      1. Oh that would be brilliant thank you – I’d love to!
