Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you are enjoying your week. Today I wanted to share with you some insight on how I chose my wedding dress. This past weekend I went shopping with my maid of honor and my sister. I tried on three dresses and I will share more on that in a bit. But I couldn’t believe that I had found my dress so quickly. It didn’t take long for me to find the dress that I loved and I wanted to share with you how and why I chose the dress that I did.

Obviously I can’t share pictures of the dress right now, but after the wedding you will all get to see what it looks like. I went to David’s Bridal and found quite a few dresses that I wanted to try on. I tried on three. The first one I just didn’t like at all. The second one is the dress that I ended up choosing. I only tried on the last one because the stylist helping me encouraged me to try on one more just to be sure. So I ended up choosing the second one and I am so excited to wear it on my wedding day. So I wanted to share with all the things that went into me choosing the dress that I did.

1. It makes me feel beautiful.

All the dresses that I tried on made me look beautiful, but I wanted a dress that also made me feel beautiful. And this was just the dress that did that. It gave me that “feeling” that brides feel when they put on the dress for the first time. If you have ever bought a wedding dress, you know what I mean. The dress made me feel something that no other dress could compare to.

2. It fits my wedding style.

I am having a very classic and simple wedding and this dress fits that style. It definitely stands out, but it’s not an over-the-top ball gown that would clash with the decor. It is simple and sweet with just enough detail that it’s not too excessive. I really love it and I’m happy that I was able to find it on my first trip.

3. I love it based on my own opinion.

I looked at myself in the dress before consulting anyone else. I did this with all three of the dresses that I tried on. I wanted to know what I thought before seeing what anyone else thought. Because I do base things on what others think so much, I knew I needed to do this for me. And I loved this on my own and it was magical.

4. My entourage loved it too.

My maid of honor and my sister both loved the dress. This was a huge determining factor because as much as I knew this was ultimately my decision, they are two of the most important people in my life. So having their approval only solidified my knowing that this was the dress for me.

5. I can picture myself walking down the aisle.

I knew while I was wearing the dress that I could really see myself walking down the aisle in this dress. I can also sit, walk, and move comfortably in this dress. That was a game-changing moment for me. Looking at myself in the mirror, I just knew that this was the dress I would be wearing on my wedding day.

6. I didn’t want to try on any other dresses.

Of course I did try on one more, but I knew it wouldn’t compare to the dress I picked. And after that I refused to try on any more dresses. I knew there was no point in trying on any other dresses because I had found my perfect dress.

7. I can’t stop thinking about it.

I am obsessed with the dress. I think about it all the time. I absolutely love this dress. And that is a big reason that I know I have found the dress for me. I don’t even think about any other dresses.

8. It fits all the characteristics I was looking for.

I went into it knowing everything I wanted in a dress and everything I didn’t want. I wasn’t expecting to find a dress that had everything I was looking for. I figured I would have to settle for just one. But I found everything.

9. I didn’t have to compromise.

I was also afraid that I was going to end up with a dress with things I didn’t like about it because it fit in the budget or it was mostly what I was looking for. But I didn’t. And that is a big reason that this is my perfect dress.

10. It is out of my budget.

Now here me out. You might think that this should be a deal breaker. But it’s not. Because I knew if I loved this dress enough that I was willing to save a little extra money, this is the dress. Because I wouldn’t be willing to do that for just any dress. And it’s really not that much over the budget, so it’s comfortable. I’m not breaking the bank or anything.

And that is how and why I picked my dress! Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let me know in the comments if you have any other wedding posts you would like to see. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
