Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you had an excellent week. I get questions all the time about the benefits of starting a blog and if I recommend it. So I wanted to write a post for today all about the benefits of starting a blog and keeping up with it. I will say that being a successful blogger takes a lot of work. It’s not something you can just start and never come back to and expect it to work out all that well. You can’t neglect your blog, your readers, or the time you have spent creating your blog. But if you are serious about it, here are some incredible benefits of starting a blog.

1. You get to share your journey.

One of the greatest things about starting a blog is that you get to share your own story. Your blog is unique to you and you get to decide what you share and what you don’t share. So having a blog allows you to have a platform where you can share with others what you have learned, experienced, and enjoyed. Your readers can connect with you and you can find a support system like you have never seen before.

2. You get to build your resume.

When you have a blog that you are keeping up with, you learn so many skills you otherwise may not have learned as well. You learn things like time management, promotion, social media, computer skills, and so much more. You can include these skills on your resume and increase your chances of getting hired. It’s a great way to not only make some money on the side, but helps you get a great job that you enjoy.

3. You can make new connections.

If you do it right, your audience will start to feel more like friends than anything else. You will want to share with them and hear their stories. You will want to connect with them and build a relationship. These connections can really help you grow as a blogger and a person because you will realize that you are not alone and you have a voice. And that is one of the best things about blogging. You can also connect with other bloggers and build lasting friendships with people who know how tough blogging is.

4. Your mental health will improve.

When I first started blogging I was in a real funk. I felt so alone and I was depressed and anxious all the time. I still suffer with anxiety, but I know that blogging has helped a great deal. I am much more confident now and I am able to recognize that I have a voice and I can use it to help others. I know that blogging has helped so many people come out of dark points in their life, so this is an incredible perk of starting a blog. Also, you just don’t know who you might help and inspire.

5. You can make money.

You may not make much money starting out, but you can with time. If you are willing to put the time and hard work into growing your blog, building your audience, and continuing to have great content, you can start making some kind of income. It may not be your full time job, but anything you make from blogging is more than you had before. So starting a blog is a really fun and interesting way to make money.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let us know in the comments which benefit you enjoy the most! Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
