Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I wanted to share with you my rules for a productive week. These are things I do every week to make sure that I am doing my best and getting as much done as I can. It allows me to make sure I am doing everything I need to do, including eating, sleeping, and other necessities. I hope you enjoy this post! Hopefully it inspires you to make your own rules for a productive week. Here are mine.

1. Focus on one task at a time.

I know that multitasking seems really productive, but in reality it’s not. By constantly changing what you are working on you aren’t allowing yourself to really finish anything. It can also cause confusion and more stress. So a rule that I have in place is to only work on one task at a time.

2. Learn to say “no”.

It can be difficult to say no when you don’t want to disappoint people. However, it is important if you are trying to have a productive week. If you have too much going on and you can’t put another thing on the list, then it’s important to decline what someone else is asking you.

3. Have a plan.

If you have a plan, you are more likely to be productive because you won’t be sitting around trying to figure out what to do next. I use Google Calendar to plan my weeks so I make sure I know what I am doing. I even plan for breaks, meals, and other necessary things that have to take place. It just keeps me organized and prepared.

4. Finished is better than perfect.

The harsh reality is that most of what you are trying to accomplish will not be perfect. But that’s okay. Because you are perfect and no one should expect you to be perfect. So getting it finished and doing your best is better than spending all your time trying to make it perfect.

5. Work in intervals.

It’s always important to give yourself breaks and downtime, so do that by working in intervals. This allows you to take breaks between the intervals. If you work for an hour, give yourself a 15 – 30 minute break. Just make sure that you come back when the break is over.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let us know in the comments what your rules for a productive week are! Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
