Hey guys! Welcome back. I had originally planned to share this on Lights And Lashes, but I decided that it would be a better fit here. I thought this was something that everyone could make use of. So I wanted to share with you how I plan my perfect week. This is how I spend each day of the week and how I set up my priorities. One of the questions I get asked most often both on social media and in my personal life is “How do you do everything you do?” And believe me, it took me a really long time to figure out a system that really work for me, but I have found that this is the best. So this is how I set up and plan each week.
Sunday is for planning.
On Sunday I like to take some time to plan the rest of my week. I go through my planner and see what needs to be done. I put things in my Google Calendar and start time blocking. I make sure I am sorting out my priorities for the week so I know what absolutely needs to be done. Taking Sunday to plan my week ensures that I go into the week ready to start fresh and get things done.
Monday is for working hard.
Monday is the day that I work the hardest. I spend this day working on things that need to be done that week. Starting with the highest priorities of course. I work through my planner and try to get ahead on as much as I possible can. It just helps me to devote one day a week to this so I am not overloaded the rest of the week. I do give myself some grace on Mondays, but I really strive to accomplish as much as I can.
Tuesday is very similar to Monday. It is very work-heavy and I strive to do as much as possible. But on Tuesday I basically do everything that I know I need to do and then I do three extra things. This way I am giving myself a limit and lessening the work load for the rest of the week when I can. It just helps to know that I am getting as much done as I can earlier in the week so I have more time later on in the week.
Wind Down Wednesday.
Wednesday is for relaxing. Of course on Wednesdays there are things I have to do, but I try to focus only on those things. Any extra time I have is spent relaxing and taking care of myself. I will take longer showers, do an extra long workout, and do anything that helps me relax and reset. This is a day for me to kind of calm myself down after such a crazy start to the week and it is a great motivation for getting things done the first couple days of the week.
Thursdays are my choice.
Thursdays are for me to work on anything I want. That could be a project, a paper, something for the blog, or anything else. I take time to devote to whatever I am feeling motivated to work on that day. I spend the extra time I have working on things that need to be worked on but are too big to do all at once. And it really just depends on what I am feeling inspired to work on these days. As long as something is getting done, I know that this will work for me.
Fun On Friday.
Friday is my fun day. Much like Wednesday I spend the extra time I have having fun and just enjoying myself. If I feel motivated to work on something I of course won’t waste that. But if I want to enjoy myself then I will allow myself to have that time. It’s a great way to make sure that I am not overwhelming myself and that I am taking breaks and not working too hard. As long as everything gets done, there is no harm in enjoying myself and resting.
Saturdays are for sorting.
On Saturday I like to take some time to clean up and get things done around my room. I clean, reorganize, do laundry, make sure the bed is really made, and make sure I get anything out that doesn’t need to be in there. It just helps me start the week on a fresh start and I know that everything is in order. I will also take any time that is left to finish up anything that I didn’t finish throughout the week.
And that is how I plan my perfect week. Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let us know in the comments if you have any weekly rituals and what they are! Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
