Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you are having an excellent weekend. Today I wanted to share with you something that I have recently started, but has helped me a great deal. That is my prayer journal. After a conversation I had with a friend I realized that I may not be as consistent with reading my Bible and prayer as I should be. I want to be more intentional with these things, so I wanted to share what I am doing to help be more disciplined in this area.

Record prayer requests and date them.

The first thing I do is write down any prayer requests for myself and other people. I make sure that I put the date beside them so I know when I started praying for those requests and I can track any progress. Writing down my prayer requests helps ensure that I am more intentional and don’t leave anything out. It also allows me to focus on the actual prayer rather than trying to remember everything I wanted to pray about.

Record God’s answers to my prayers.

Anytime God has answered a prayer I like to put it in my journal. It is just a daily reminder that anything is possible and that God answers prayers when the timing is right. So I like to write down what has happened and how a prayer has been answered. It doesn’t always happen everyday, but when it does it is nice to be able to look back and see what God has done in my life and the lives of others.

Write out what God is saying to me.

Another thing that helps be intentional with my prayers is to make sure I am listening and not just talking. So often we pray about something and expect an immediate response. However, it is not always going to work that way. We must be patient and learn to listen. So I like to write down the things that I feel God is saying to me and what I should do with that.

Write down what stood out to me during my reading.

Even though it is a prayer journal, this step helps me make sure that I am reading my Bible everyday as well. So I like to take a few moments after I have read to write down the things that really resonated with me during my reading. This just helps me stay focused and centered and allows me to be able to look back in the future and see how I have grown.

Write down my blessings and struggles.

And finally I like to write out the things I am grateful for and the things that I am struggling with. This way, the next day I can look back and know exactly what I need to thank God for and what I need to ask Him to help me with. This is something I like doing at the end because it is just a reminder as I go through the rest of my day that even though things are not perfect, I have plenty of things to be grateful for.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let me know in the comments if you have any requests for future posts. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!

I’ve been browsing online more than 4 hours
today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours.

It is pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all site owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net
will be a lot more useful than ever before. Does your blog have a contact
page? I’m having trouble locating it but, I’d like to shoot you an e-mail.
I’ve got some suggestions for your blog you might be interested in hearing.

Either way, great website and I look forward to seeing it develop over time.
Hey there just wanted to give you a quick heads up.
The text in your content seem to be running off the screen in Firefox.
I’m not sure if this is a format issue or something to do with internet browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to
let you know. The design and style look great though!
Hope you get the issue resolved soon. Thanks
