Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you are having an excellent week. Tonight I wanted to share some things with you that have been on my mind a lot. I have been dealing with a lot these past couple of weeks and I have been trying to work through all of it. So today I wanted to just share with you some lessons I have picked up that have helped me get through these dark times. Hopefully these will help you and encourage you to make it through whatever you are going through. So here are some life lessons that I have learned and will never forget.

The power of thoughts.

This is something I have learned really well in the past year or so. Mindset is everything. If you tell yourself that you are less than you are, then you will start to believe that and that is how you will treat yourself. If you tell yourself that you have so many things to worry about, you will worry more than you need to. Your thoughts are very powerful and the more you learn to think positively, the better off you will be.

All we have is right now.

Living in the present is something that I have really picked up on recently. I have learned that the past is the past and I cannot change it. And the future is a person that I have not yet become. So I need to focus on right now and live in the moment that God has given me. I need to do what I need to do in the moment and give myself a fresh start with every day that I am given.

Stop apologizing.

I find myself doing this quite often. I apologize for the things I do. I apologize for who I am. I apologize for so many things that I don’t need to apologize for. So something I have really been working, and I’m still working on, is not apologizing so much. I only need to apologize for the things that I have really done wrong. But in terms of the person I am, I don’t feel the need to apologize for that.

Do it and keep doing it.

When it comes to building better habits and personal growth, I have learned that consistency is one of the biggest things that will help get you there. So once you have decided to start doing something, it is important to start as soon as you can and not stop. It will help you build that habit and keep up with it. Whereas, if you wait, you are likely to keep waiting and it probably won’t end up happening.

Let go.

Letting go is so difficult. I know it’s difficult for me. But I have learned how much freedom I feel when I let things go that don’t need to be in my life. I have seen the peace that I have when I finally get things out and just learn to let go. I think we hold on to things because they are comfortable and we are afraid of what is on the other side. But I think it’s important to do what is best for us in every situation.

The only thing standing in your way is you.

Excuses are just excuses. Even if there are ten other people telling you you can’t do something or shouldn’t do something, if you let them convince you it’s because you are too afraid to give it a shot. If it is something you really want then get out of your own way and prove everyone else wrong. The only reason we don’t do the things we want is because we are letting fear and doubt overrule us. It’s time to let that go and get out of the way of our dreams and happiness.

People judge based on what they don’t understand.

If someone is judging you for something that you are doing, they probably just don’t understand. Every person is unique and everyone has different ways of doing things. So if you are doing something that someone else thinks is wrong or backwards, it is just because they don’t understand. And that’s okay. But you can’t let them hold you back from doing what you are doing.

There are no mistakes, only lessons we need to learn.

I recently came into a situation in which I thought I had made a mistake. There was so much regret and uncertainty, but I thought it was normal. I thought it would be okay. But instead, it just kept getting worse. It was something that I was not ready for, but I pushed myself into it. But I have learned that it is not a mistake. I just needed to learn patience and I needed to learn to trust myself. And I learned both. So it wasn’t a mistake, it was just a lesson that needed to be learned.

Forgiveness is a gift you give yourself.

It is really difficult to forgive other people because we feel like we are letting them off easy. It is really difficult to forgive ourselves because we feel like we don’t deserve it. However, forgiveness is a gift. It is also extremely powerful. Forgiveness, more so than anything else, sets us free. It gives us peace. It also ties in to the letting go lesson that I talked about earlier. Forgiveness is for you, not for anyone else.

Life is more about the journey and less about the destination.

We often spend our days waiting for someday. We think that happiness is something we must achieve. We think that someday we might be able to be happy. But I think something really important that I have learned throughout the past few years is that life is happening right now. Life is not something that happens down the road. It is happening every moment of everyday. So it is important to remember why you are here and what you are grateful for in this moment.

If you don’t believe in yourself, nobody will.

It is extremely important to believe in yourself. Because if you don’t, it will be difficult for others to believe in you. You have to know that you are worthy of achieving your dreams and if you are willing to work hard, you can do it. However, the first step is always believing in yourself and knowing that you are more than capable. It’s up to you to trust yourself though.

Things do get better if you work to make them better.

You can’t just expect life to just get better. Sometimes it does, but other times it does require a little work on your part. It is important to get yourself out of situations that are not good for you. It is important to cut off ties with people who work against you and not for you. You can’t expect things to just work out for you if you aren’t doing anything to help the situation.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let me know in the comments a life changing lesson that you have learned and will never forget is. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
