Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I wanted to talk to you all about something I talk about quite often which is living the life you want. And to be completely honest, getting to that point is difficult if you don’t give yourself the freedom to do so. So today I wanted to share with you ten ways that you can find your own freedom for yourself and work towards living your best life.
1. Free yourself from negative thoughts.
One of the most important things to do when you are trying to find freedom is to limit negative thoughts and try to move past them. Because your negative thoughts limit you and cause you to feel insecure and doubtful. So if you want to live your best life, you need to start with adopting a more positive mindset. You will start seeing significant change when you free yourself from your negative thinking.
2. Let go of relationships that don’t add value.
As difficult as it is to let go of relationships, I know from experience that it is absolutely necessary if you want to grow and live the life you want. The people in your life should lift you up, not bring you down. Therefore, another key factor in finding freedom is freeing yourself from relationships that aren’t bringing any value into your life. You should surround yourself with a positive support system and be able to lean on the in times of need.
3. Take time for yourself.
Self care is something I advocate for a lot because I see the value in it. I know I started seeing a significant difference when I started taking time for myself and making sure that my needs were being met. Self care allows you the time to not only make sure your needs are getting met, but also time to rest. And rest is so important if you want to be able to enjoy life and have fun sometimes.
4. Eat healthy.
This maybe goes without saying, but the healthier you eat the better off you really are. Of course, it’s okay to indulge every now and then and cheat a little bit, but the bulk of your eating habits should be healthy. Not only does it help you in your overall health, but you will feel better mentally and emotionally as well. So I highly recommend evaluating your eating habits if you want to live a better life.
5. Implement a daily routine.
Daily routines are essential for me. It keeps me from having to guess at what I am going to do and stress about things getting done. This frees me from the worry and stress about making decisions. Having a routine allows me to ensure that I have the time to get things done that need to be done and not have to worry about trying to find the time later on. It really relieves a lot of stress.
6. Explore more.
If you want freedom, it is absolutely essential to leave your comfort zone. You have no idea the marvelous things that are waiting on the other side of your comfort zone. It is definitely not an easy thing to do, but I think it is so worth it. It’s how you learn and grow. And the freedom to truly live your absolute best life comes with taking risks and learning what is meant to be and what is not.
7. Don’t be afraid of change.
The fear of change is one of the things that keeps us in our comfort zone. Therefore, if you want that freedom and the ability to live the life you strive to live, you can’t keep being afraid of change. You have to let go of that fear and trust yourself. Trust that things will work out the way they are supposed to. You can’t control everything, but you can control if fear holds you back or not.
8. Find what moves you.
Find the things that inspire you and motivate you. Find the people that push you to be better. Find the things that you are really passionate about. These will be the things that you want to hold on to in order to live the life that you want. It will help you find freedom from doing jobs that you don’t want to do with people you don’t really want to be around.
9. Embrace progress, not perfection.
I think many of strive for perfection overall. We think if something isn’t perfect than it is not good enough. But I think one of the biggest things about finding the freedom to live the life you want is to look for progress instead of perfection. Look and see how far you have come and assess where you need to go from there. No one is perfect and you won’t really get anywhere by trying to be.
10. Fight for what you want.
Everything you want in life is not just going to fall in your lap. You aren’t likely to get that promotion if you don’t ask for it. You aren’t likely to get that date if you don’t ask for it. Your room isn’t likely to get clean if you don’t clean it. If you want something, it will usually take some effort on your part to get there. But so many people expect things to just happen and unfortunately the world doesn’t always work that way.
