Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you are having a great week so far. Today I wanted to share with you a few habits that are preventing you from being completely happy. These are things that are common habits that people have a difficult time letting go of. But if you want to be happy and you don’t know what could be holding you back, hopefully this list will help. So here are five habits that could be sabotaging your happiness.

1. Consistently waiting for something better.

One of the worst habits that I have is not enjoying or appreciating what I have because I am always waiting for something better to come along. And it prevents me from being happy and just enjoying the life I have right now. So if you find yourself constantly waiting for something better to come along, it may be time to sit down and write down the things you are grateful for. This way, you will see that you don’t have to wait for as much as you thought.

2. You are afraid of being vulnerable.

It is difficult to share your fears and emotions with another person because you don’t know how they will react. You also don’t know how long they will be in your life. So being vulnerable is a pretty scary thing to do. However, not being vulnerable can hold you back a lot in life. So if you want that complete happiness, work on letting other people in and share what’s going on with them.

3. You want to please everybody.

This is probably the worst habit that I have. I work so hard to please everyone else that my own happiness gets put on the back burner. So if this is something that you also struggle with, just know that you may be preventing yourself from being happy. Do the things that you want and know that it is okay to prioritize yourself sometimes. In fact, it is necessary.

4. You want to control everything.

I am sorry to say that unfortunately you don’t control everything. You can’t control other people or circumstances. You control very little. And while that may seem a little depressing, it is also very freeing. You don’t have to carry the wait of the world on your shoulders because you can’t control everything. You just have to trust that everything happens for a reason and it will work out the way it is supposed to.

5. You refuse to forgive yourself.

Forgiveness is a tricky thing, especially when it comes to forgiving yourself . Often times we feel that we should not forgive ourselves or we can’t forgive ourselves because we don’t deserve it. But by not forgiving yourself you are sabotaging your happiness and punishing yourself which doesn’t need to happen. So learning to forgive is one of the best things you can do for your happiness.
