Hey guys! Welcome back. Anyone who knows me well knows that Friends is one of my all time favorite TV shows. So today I wanted to share with you some things that I learned from Monica about organization. I think these are really important things to know and hopefully this will help more of you. These are some essential lessons about organization that I think everyone should know.

Everything should have it’s place.

One of the biggest lessons I learned from Monica is that everything should have a place. And I have learned over the years that if it doesn’t have a place, I probably don’t need it. This lesson is really useful not only for cleaning and keeping things clean, but also with decluttering. Knowing what has a place and what doesn’t really helps me know what I need to keep and what I need to get rid of.

Leave nothing overlooked.

From the top of cabinets to under the couch, all areas of the home get dirty. Therefore, they all need to be cleaned. Monica taught us the importance of making sure we get every nook and cranny because that makes less work later on. It may seem a bit excessive, but if you get in the habit of not overlooking any areas, it could be a real time saver later on.

An organized life creates an organized mind.

Monica always has organization on the mind, but it helps her stay focused and she always knows what the next step is. Sure it can be a bit overzealous at times, but she seems to always have things together. And we want our lives to be as put together as possible. So being organized and keeping everything together as much as possible always helps create a more organized mindset.

Always make your bed.

There is great power in making your bed everyday, and that is one of the many things Monica taught us. Having a bed that is made helps you feel more put together and is a small task that you can mark off as an accomplishment first thing in the morning. This will help you have a successful start to your day and help you feel more motivated to keep it up throughout the day.

Confront your clutter.

We all have clutter that we do our best to ignore. Whether it is under the bed, the attic or basement, or, as in Monica’s case, a closet. We all have a special spot for all our clutter. However, one time or another the time will come to confront that clutter and get rid of all the things we don’t need. Not only will the space start to look better, but you will start to feel better as well.

Scheduling and planning is key.

Having a plan is always best for most situations. Even if things don’t go according to how you planned them, you can at least rest easy knowing you have something going in. This keeps you organized and helps you know what you are doing. It helps prevent you from wasting any time or worrying about what you should do next. Scheduling and planning are two very beneficial aspects of organization.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let us know in the comments if you like Friends and who your favorite character, episode, or quote is. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
