Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you are enjoying your weekend. Here on the blog we talk a lot about what you can do to be successful, but we don’t talk a lot about what you should not do if you want to be successful. So today I wanted to share with you a few things that you should stop doing if you want to find success. Some of these are pretty obvious, but others may come as a surprise. But anyway, let’s get into some of the things you should stop doing if you want to be successful.

Making excuses.

If you really want to be successful, the first thing you have to do is let go of the excuses. Because I hate to break it to you, but your excuses are holding you back. Let them go and allow yourself to break free. Give yourself a chance to prove that you can do anything. Your excuses aren’t doing you any favors and it’s time to let go.

Almost the same as making excuses, but this is just not doing anything. Or not doing whatever you need to be doing. If you want the success you have always dreamed of, at some point you are going to have to get up and start working on it. Otherwise, it will never happen for you.

Expecting success to just happen.

For the majority of the population, success doesn’t just happen. It’s not an overnight thing. A lot of hard work, patience, and perseverance goes into finding success. So you can’t just give up if you try something for a week and it doesn’t work out. You can’t expect it to just happen.

Complaining instead of looking for solutions.

Complaining doesn’t take you very far because there is nothing on the other side of it. However, if you look for a solution to whatever you are facing, things might get a little easier for you. So instead of complaining about having to work for something, look for what the benefits are and use it to motivate you.

Saying “yes” to everything.

You are just one person. You can’t do every single thing everyone wants you to do. You will be far more stressed out than you need to be. It is important to set boundaries and be realistic about what you can handle. Don’t take more than you can handle because it won’t end well.

Fearing failure.

Failure is a part of life. It isn’t the easiest or the most fun thing to deal with. However, you can’t let the fear of failure prevent you from trying any of the things you want to try. It’s okay to be afraid, but you have to learn to channel that fear into a new kind of energy that inspires to you to keep going in spite of the fear.

Being so hard on yourself.

I know I am extremely hard on myself and there have been so many times that I should be proud and happy, but instead I am focusing on all the bad. And that is why now I am so persistent on staying positive and grateful. I want to remember that there is always something good in my life even when things aren’t perfect.

Trying to control everything.

In most situations, we are not in control. There is more to life than just us and we can’t control everything that happens. And it is sometimes very difficult to let go of that control and trust that the outcome will work out the way it is supposed to. But if you want to be successful it is important to remember that some things are beyond your control and just do what you can.

Not sleeping.

This is such a big one. It is extremely difficult to be successful and keep working towards success if you are always exhausted. Sleep is one of the most important things you can do when you are trying to find success. Your body needs rest in order to function properly. And to be successful, you need to function properly.
