Hey guys! Welcome back. As most of you may know, I am graduating in December. So I have been a senior in college for almost a year. And today I wanted to talk to you about some ways that you can take care of yourself during this last year. I know it’s incredibly stressful as you are finishing the classes you need, preparing for senior projects, and trying to figure out what comes next. So in this last year especially, taking care of yourself is extremely important. So here are some ways that you can do that.

1. Create a playlist and listen to your favorite music.

Music is one of my favorite things. It really heals my soul and I love it. So I highly recommend creating a playlist of all of your favorite music to listen to. Because on both good days and bad days, there is a song for every situation, mood, and experience. I have a playlist that I have playing most of the time and it has really helped me a lot.

2. Try to eat healthy foods.

This isn’t easy, especially between the dining hall and all the eating out. But it is possible. I do my best to eat as healthy as I can because it really helps me feel better on the inside. It may not always be the most fun, but I believe in balance. So eating healthier foods is something I did my best to do this year.

3. Spend quality time with friends and family.

Soon you will graduate and you won’t have as much time to spend with your friends and family. Maybe you will move away. Maybe you will find a job that takes up more time. Regardless, you won’t always have the time that you have now. So take advantage of it and spend time with the people you care about.

4. Get a good night’s sleep.

It may seem next to impossible, but I do it most nights. Getting enough sleep is crucial to making sure that you are functioning in the best ways that you can. It’s important for your mental health, your physical health, and even your emotional health. So strive to sleep as much as you can every night.

5. Do what you love to do in your spare time.

We all have things that we love to do. Hobbies, side jobs, passions, and more. So I highly recommend taking some time to spend on these things that you love. It’s a great way to relieve stress and take your mind off of everything that is happening around you. And you will feel a lot happier.
