Hey guys! Welcome back. I believe that we are the sum of our habits. The things we partake in daily and the ways we carry ourselves help make up who we are and what we do. Unfortunately we sometimes get caught in some pretty bad and toxic habits that can hurt us more than the help us. So today I wanted to share with you some toxic habits that you may need to break if you are struggling. Breaking these won’t be easy, but you will definitely see some growth if you can manage to cut them off. So here are some toxic habits that you may need to break.

The thirst for approval.

It’s no secret that we oftentimes strive to have the approval of others. We want to be accepted and we want others to acknowledge us and recognize us. However, this toxic becomes habit when you look for the approval of others before you have your own approval. You need to approve what you are doing before anyone else does. Because if you are doing something that is out of character for you and it goes against what you believe in, then it ultimately does not matter.

Waiting for life to happen.

There is no point in waiting for life to happen when it is already happening. You are having moments and experiences everyday that are a part of living life. You have opportunities to live the life you want right now, so there is no point in waiting. Let yourself live right now and don’t hold back just because you think it’s not the time. The only time you have is right now. You aren’t guaranteed anything else.

Competing and comparing.

This is one of the most toxic habits you can have for yourself. It is giving off the idea that you don’t think you are good enough and you are always comparing yourself to someone else. But it doesn’t do a lot of good because you can’t be that person. You don’t know what they went through to get what they have or be who they are. The only person you can be is you and that is exactly what the world needs.

Relying too much on others.

Being too independent and thinking you don’t need anyone is a toxic trait. However, relying too much on others and never being able to do anything for yourself is also toxic. It’s important to have a good balance so you know that you can live on your own and still be able to let others in. It takes some time to figure out the balance and what you need, but it’s worth it when you get there.

It’s never a good idea to settle. You deserve more than to just settle for the first thing that comes along. I know it seems too good to be true, but I have seen that not settling has it’s advantages. You start to see that you are worth more than you sometimes give yourself credit for and you deserve joy and happiness. So don’t settle and don’t let yourself believe that you are worth anything less than you truly are.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let me know in the comments which bad habit you struggle with the most. Mine is definitely waiting for life to happen. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
