Hey guys! Welcome back. Happy Halloween if you are reading this on the day that I post it! In honor of Halloween and the scary vibes that surround the holiday, I wanted to talk about something that I think is really scary: first dates. First dates make me really anxious and it’s something that I struggle with a lot. So I wanted to share with you my tips for feeling confident when you go on a first date.

1. Stay open-minded.

On a first date it is important to have an open mind and not have any major expectations. You really don’t know what to expect unless you have known the person for a while. And even then, you may not always know. So just stay open-minded and be yourself. Trust the process and stay present in the moment.

2. Prepare for the conversation.

Have some questions and topics prepared that you want to talk about. On a first date, you should be trying to get to know the person, so spend some time preparing some things to talk about. Also, be prepared to answer their questions and know what you want to say. Be thoughtful and proactive.

3. Be yourself without overthinking it.

The person you are going on a date with should accept you for who you are if it is going to work out and become anything more. So it’s important to be yourself. Just remain calm and relaxed and stay true to yourself. Don’t overthink what you are saying or doing. Just do what you feel is right and let it go from there.

4. Don’t take what happens personally.

It may not work out and that’s okay. You may find that you aren’t into it or they aren’t into it. You may not be soulmates, but that’s okay. You can move on and try something else. Don’t take it personally or dwell on it. If it’s meant to be it will be, so you have nothing to worry about.

5. Remember your date is also human.

The person you are going on a date with is also human. They are just as scared and nervous as you. So let loose and just be comfortable. It will help them be comfortable as well so you can enjoy your time and conversation together. Don’t overthink anything and just let the date go as it will.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let us know in the comments your best first date tips. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
