Hello and welcome back! If you are new, welcome to the new and improved Love, Geeky Girl. Also, Happy New Year!!! Let’s make 2020 the best one yet! Today I am sharing something I have been working on for quite a while. I have (partially) rebranded the blog. And I say partially because I did not change everything as you will see later on. But there are some things that have changed and I wanted to talk with you about everything here in this post. So bear with me, it may be a long one.
The name is still the same, which is one of the reasons it is only a partial rebranding. A total rebrand would have included me changing the name. And while I did consider and went through a lot of name possibilities, I could not find one that I really loved and wanted to commit to that was available. So I decided to stick with what I have because it hasn’t done me wrong yet. So we are still Love, Geeky Girl and that we will stay for a while at least.
The purpose and message of the blog has changed though. I started this blog for me as a way to pass time and write about whatever I wanted. I was a college student obsessed with makeup and those were two of the biggest things I wrote about. Then I transitioned into writing about things that I learned and advice I had for my audience. But now I transitioning once again and putting forth a new purpose. I want to inspire and empower women. The purpose of Love, Geeky Girl is to provide you with content that will inspire and motivate you in your everyday life. I want to give you the content that you need and want. I want to give you what you ask for. It is important for me to give you content that helps you grow and be the best version of yourself.
I will still have blog posts everyday. In fact, thanks to the help of some amazing people, I will have multiple posts everyday. So you don’t have just one thing to read, you have multiple things to read. Or you can pick the ones that speak the most to you. This is part of my effort to give you what you ask for in the best way that I can. The old content will be coming along, so don’t worry. Your favorite pieces will still be up for you to refer back to or read if you have not already. I will also be working on my social media and striving to post at least once everyday. I want to connect with you all in as many ways as possible.

So why did I decide to rebrand?
I wanted to change the focus of the blog. I wanted it to be more geared towards women and becoming a place where I can share content that helps us all grow and be the best versions of ourselves possible. I wanted to offer something more concrete and focused. Before, I just wrote about whatever whenever. And while I will still write about some of the same things, I want it to have more focus. I want it to speak to women and help empower them as much as possible.
I also want to concentrate on making this more of a business. In the (hopefully) near future, I will be launching some things that will help women. From helping them start and grow their own blog to developing a personal brand, I want to help others do what I have done. So this rebranding will allow me to make some changes and start focusing more on what I am passionate about, which is helping empower women. Changing the focus allows me to zero in more on my audience and providing them with resources that they want and that will help them.
So that is the rebranding. It may not seem like much now, but I promise in a few days you will start seeing the difference. I changed the theme of the blog as well so it looks a little different when you open the site up. I am excited for what is coming and I hope you are as well.
