Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I wanted to do something I have not done in a really long time and that is a product review. I haven’t really had a beauty post in a long time, so I thought it was long overdue. And honestly I wanted to share this with you because I truly believe that you absolutely need it in your life. One of my Christmas gifts this year was a Dove Beauty Set. I love getting one every year because I love Dove and I think they make incredible products. And even though I had been wanting to try the Dove Exfoliating Body Scrub, I just hadn’t got around to purchasing it for myself. So when I got it in the gift set I was ecstatic. I also want to mention before we get into this that this is not a sponsored post and these opinions are all my own.

And if you follow me on Twitter (readgeekygirl) you know that I tried it on New Year’s Eve and loved it. But I wanted to give a more in depth review here in case you have been wanting to try it or if you are just curious. The first thing I want to say is that I have super dry skin. And in full disclosure I do not exfoliate my body nearly as much as I should. I exfoliate my face at least once a week, but not the rest of my body. So when I got this product I really hoped it worked so I would start using it. Now since it is a body scrub, I can’t use it every night. But the one time I did use made such a difference.

I don’t really like a lot of body scrubs because I think they are too hard on my skin. However, the Dove body scrub has smaller beads making it less harsh while still getting the job done. It got rid of a good deal of my dry skin and the dry flakes, particularly on my shoulders and chest. It made my skin so much smoother than it was before after only one use. Not I am not saying that it got rid of everything and that my skin is as soft as a baby’s bottom because that’s not the case. But I can see a difference and I know with continued use it will help me skin a great deal.

My skin is softer and smoother than it was before I used it and that is something I really enjoy. I exfoliated my legs before I shaved them and it made my skin so smooth and I didn’t have those razor bumps after shaving. It made my skin look so much better which is what I hope for in a body scrub. It did not irritate my skin at all. I even used it on my face because I ran out of my face mask. I don’t recommend using it on your face because it is meant for your body, so it’s a bit rougher, but in a pinch it worked well. It didn’t break me out or anything.

And some added benefits to this body scrub make it even better and make me recommend it even more. One is that it is super affordable. It’s around $6 depending on where you get it, so it’s worth checking out and if you don’t love it you aren’t out as much money as you would be if it were a higher end product. And also, it smells really good. And the smell lasts on your skin which is always a good thing unless you don’t like it. But I promise you will very likely love the smell.

So that is my review of the Dove Exfoliating Body Scrub. I highly recommend it especially if you have dry skin. Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let us know in the comments if you have tried it or will be trying it and what your thoughts are. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
