Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I am here to share a few things that feeling guilty about is only a waste of time. These are things that are perfectly acceptable to do and you shouldn’t have to feel guilty about. And anyone who tries to make you feel guilty about these things probably isn’t someone you want in your life anyway. Guilt is a natural part of life and we all feel it from time to time. However, these are seven things that you should not feel guilty about.
1. Saying no.
Saying no is not a bad thing. If you don’t want to do something, you are allowed to say no. You should not feel obligated to do anything just because you are afraid of upsetting or disappointing someone. If the answer you want to give is no, then you should feel free to say so. Feeling guilty about it is not going to make things better though.
We all have dreams. Whether we are daydreaming about things we really want and can achieve or daydreaming about far off lands of things that aren’t real, daydreaming doesn’t hurt. Don’t feel guilty about imagining something else. Sometimes you just need to escape what is going on and there is nothing wrong with that.
3. Taking breaks.
One of the worst feelings is when you have been working really hard and you sit down to take a break and then you feel guilty. Unfortunately we live in a society where productivity is the most important thing, but remember that you need and deserve breaks. Don’t let yourself feel down about it.
4. Buying something you really want.
Not meaning buy everything you want all the time. But if you work hard and save money to buy something you really want, then you shouldn’t feel guilty about it. You deserve to give yourself gifts every now and then. It’s not something to feel bad about. If you have worked to get it then there is nothing wrong with getting it.
5. Staying in.
You don’t have to go out every weekend. You don’t have to go out any weekend. You can stay in as much as you want and there is nothing wrong with it. No one should make you feel like you have to go out if you don’t want to. If you want to stay at home and just relax, then go for it.
6. Not getting enough done.
Because who defines what enough really is? You do. So if there are days when you get less done then other days, that’s okay. What’s important is that you do what you can. You don’t have to be productive every second of everyday. You don’t have to feel guilty about not getting anything done.
