Hey guys! Welcome back. I have been pretty open here about things that I have been through in the past and the struggles I have been through. And I have shared about my experience with suicide and my depression and anxiety. So today I thought I would add to that and share some of the lessons I took away from the darkest time of my life. So here are the biggest takeaways from the darkest moments of my life.

You are all that you really have.

I had to learn to love myself because during that time in my life I was really all I had. I was the only person I could really depend on. People leave, people hurt you, people make you feel like garbage. So you have to treat yourself better. You have to love yourself and fight for yourself so you can prove people wrong.

Losing yourself for someone else is never worth it.

Like I said, you have to love yourself. And if at any point someone comes and takes that love you have for yourself away it’s time to let them go. Because while you should prioritize others and work on those relationships, there should never be a person who comes along making you think badly of yourself.

Being alone isn’t always a bad thing.

There is a difference between being alone and being lonely. And being alone is not a bad thing. It gives you the opportunity to get to know yourself. You have the chance to invest in yourself and grow from within. Being alone has many benefits that can get overlooked if you are too busy worrying about other people.

Not everyone is your friend.

It is important to find people that you can trust and open up to. But it is also important to keep in mind that not everyone is your friend. You can’t trust everyone who is close to you because some people won’t keep that trust. You have to be careful and remember to make people earn your trust.

Allow yourself to heal.

If you never let yourself heal and you never take time for yourself, you will struggle until you do. You have to have that time to work through all the pain and struggles because it’s the only real way to move on. It’s not an overnight process. It takes time. It takes patience. So allow yourself to heal the way you need to.

Live your life the way you want.

Probably the biggest lesson I learned was to start living my life the way I want to because there will always be people who don’t like what I am doing. There will always be people with different opinions. So we just have to live our lives the way we want to because our opinion is the only one that really matters.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you are able to take something from this. Please like it if you did. Feel free to let us know what it was in the comments. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
