Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I wanted to share some things that you can do right now to change your life. From being the best version of you to thriving in everything you want to do, these are five things you can do to completely transform your life. I think we could all use some ideas and some motivation sometimes, so here are mine.
1. Be unapologetically you.
This is probably the most difficult for me. I’m not great at not caring what other people think. So when it comes to being myself and not worrying about every decision I make, it’s a little difficult. But I have learned over the past several months that it really doesn’t matter what you do because there will always be someone there to tell you it’s the wrong thing to do. So you really just have to do whatever you want because you can’t make everyone happy. You can do what everyone thinks you should do. You just have to follow your own path and trust that you will find your way.
2. Build small daily habits.
Many of us start with resolutions at the beginning of the year, which is great, but the problem is we don’t always keep up with them. And while it is great to come up with things you would like to do and change in the new year, it is also really important to find ways to make them stick. And that it why building small daily habits is the way to go. You can’t jump into something big and expect it to automatically stick. Instead you have to start small and gradually build your way to bigger goals.
3. Cut toxic people out.
This seems really scary and aggressive and really it is. However, I can’t stress how important it is. Even people who don’t seem toxic right now but still cause us fear or issues can become toxic. Anyone who does not have your best interest at heart and makes you feel like less than you are either is, or has the potential to be, toxic. So if you want to change your life and live the best life you can, cutting out the negative people in your life is one of the best ways to do that.
4. Learn to recognize value.
Everything we devote our time and money to needs to hold some value to us. From the people we spend time with to the things we spend money on, we should strive to see the value in everything we give ourselves to. This is life-changing because once you start looking at value you will start to recognize all the things you no longer need or want in your life. There are so many things that we give ourselves to that don’t really have a place in our lives. So if you learn to recognize value you will start to see the value in your own time and money.
5. Remember that nobody really cares.
I used to think that everyone was always looking at me and thinking about me and talking about me. I was super insecure and worried about everything. And I still do sometimes, but it used to be much worse. But then I realized that most people have much better things to be worrying about and thinking about. In reality, no one really cares nearly as much as we think they do. So to bring it back around to my first point, just do what you want. Live the life you want because if you are constantly worrying about what other people are going to think then you aren’t doing yourself any favors. You’re just setting yourself up for disappointment.
