Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you are having a great day so far. I wanted to come on here really quick to share with you how I get over a bad day. I know we all struggle with them and sometimes they seem to happen more often than others. So I figured today I would share some of the things I do when I am having a bad day and what helps me. Bad days are definitely no fun, but these things help me get through them a little bit easier.
Drink some water.
When I am having a bad day I try to drink more water than usual. I drink water as much as I can anyway, but on a bad day hydration is really important to me. It helps me feel a little bit better about myself and I just feel refreshed. It’s kind of like a really small way to reset my mind and body.
Again, this is something that I try to do anyway, but when I am struggling with a bad day I try to spend a little extra time on my work out or I try to fit in another one. Working out just helps me focus on something and get my mind off of the things that are making the day harder to get through.
When I’m having a bad day there is nothing I love better than turning on an episode of Friends or The Office and just laughing for a while. Those are two shows that never let me down and I feel a lot better after watching an episode or two or five. Having a good laugh helps me move on and get through the rest of the day.
A nice bath.
Enjoying a nice bubble bath is one of my favorite things to do at the end of a bad day. It’s like I’m cleansing and removing all the things that went wrong that day and all the struggles that I had. So a nice, warm bath is a must have and something I have to look forward to if the day has been stressful.
I can’t tell you how much I love baking. I love baking absolutely anything. It is so relaxing and so soothing to me. Being able to bake and then sit down to enjoy it at the end is one of my absolute favorite things. I even like the clean up process afterwards because that is also relaxing and satisfying.
There is nothing quite like escaping to another world when the one you are in is stressful and you’re having a hard time. So I love picking up a good book and just entering into someone else’s world for a while. Getting lost in a book is something I really enjoy after a nice bath.
