Hey guys! Welcome back. Organization is a huge part of my life and I strive to be as organized as possible as much as possible. Of course, life happens and things don’t always work out the way I want, but I do the best that I can. And when it comes to organizing, everyone has their own styles and their own ways of doing things. But I thought today I would share some of my favorite organization tips in case any of you are looking for some inspiration.
Use a planner.
Even though I am out of college now, I still find myself using my planner. I use it to keep up with blog posts, social media planning, keeping track of important dates and events, and so much more. So I highly recommend picking up a planner that you love and know you will use because this will help keep you a lot more organized and keep you from planning too much.
Have a place for everything.
I find that it is super important and helpful to have a place for everything. It keeps me from having to rearrange things constantly and never know where things will go. It also makes the clean up process a lot easier and faster so I can spend that time doing other things. I really recommend that you have a place for all of your things so you know exactly where they are.
If you are anything like me you probably accumulate stuff all the time. So I find that it is extremely important to go through all of my stuff at least every couple of months so I can get rid of the things that I no longer need or want to hold on to. It frees up a ton of space and helps things look a lot more clean and tidy. So I recommend finding the time to declutter as regularly as possible.
Leave some room.
I don’t know what it is, but I find that I feel the need to fill every inch of space. I don’t like having shelf space that doesn’t have anything on it. But I have come to realize that trying to cover every inch of space is what makes the most clutter. So when it comes to organizing and staying organized for that matter, resist the urge to cover and fill every space that you have and leave yourself some breathing room.
Create a schedule.
I find that having a cleaning and organizing schedule works really well for me. That way I am not trying to do everything I need to do in one day. I work on specific areas on specific days. It helps me stay on top of things so I’m not getting tired halfway through and just giving up. I highly recommend figuring out what kind of schedule works for you and making it a regular part of your weekly routine.
