Hey guys! Welcome back. I love sharing my morning and night routines and I know that many of you enjoy reading them. So I am back to share my most recent updated morning routine. These are the same things that I typically do, but they are in a different order and some things have changed. So I wanted to go ahead and share my updated morning routine since it is always super requested.

Make the bed.

As soon as I get out of bed everyday I make sure I make my bed. It helps me feel like I am starting the day on the right foot by accomplishing something small. It also helps the room look and feel a little more put together and is something that I won’t have to worry about later on in the day.


The next thing I do is some light stretches. I’m not into yoga or meditation or anything, but I believe stretching everyday is super important. It helps me loosen up and feel more awake to start my day. I don’t spend a ton of time on this, but I have found there are many benefits to stretching first thing in the morning.

Drink some water.

Once I am up I go get some water. Not only do I start drinking immediately, but I keep drinking throughout the rest of my morning. I don’t drink coffee or anything, so having some water first thing in the morning really helps wake my body up and gives me some natural energy.

Eat a healthy breakfast.

Breakfast is absolutely without a doubt my favorite meal of the day. Which is good because eating in the morning is really important. It helps give you energy, keeps you from snacking later on in the day, and just improves your mood and prepares you to start your day.


Sometimes I do this before breakfast. It just depends on how I am feeling. I know some people say you shouldn’t eat before a workout and some say you shouldn’t eat after. So I just base it on how I’m feeling. If I’m super hungry I eat first because if not I won’t be able to give 100% to my workout.


After my workout I like to get my shower in. It helps me reset and get ready for the day. Showering is also where I do my deepest thinking so having a shower everyday has many benefits for me. I don’t wash my hair everyday, but I do wash everything else everyday. I just need that time and I like to be clean.

Skin care and brush teeth.

After my shower I make sure that I brush my teeth and wash my face. I will admit that I don’t wash my face every single morning, but I do my best to wash it as often as possible. It’s super helpful to hydrate my skin and remove any dirt and things that might not have some off in the shower.


And the last part of my morning routine is to sit down and write in my journal. It’s one of my favorite things and something I look forward to every morning. I am able to keep track of my goals and see what steps I need to take next. I can track my progress which is something I really love seeing.
