Hey guys! Welcome back. Regardless of whether you are in a relationship or you are single, I think it is really important to take some time for yourself. And one of the best ways that you can do that is take the time to date yourself. Do things that you enjoy by yourself and make the time and commitment to them. This will help you become more comfortable with yourself and grow your confidence. So here are some ways that you can date yourself.

Go to the movies by yourself.

If you are new to going out by yourself and you aren’t comfortable sitting somewhere alone for a longer period of time, I recommend going and seeing a movie. It’s going to be dark so people won’t see you as well and you don’t have to worry about really talking to too many people. It’s a great way to ease into the idea of taking yourself on dates and just spending time by yourself.

Enjoy dinner by yourself.

Whether you are cooking at home just for you or you decide to take yourself out for a meal, never underestimate the power of really good food. We all have to eat, so why not take the opportunity to do something for yourself? Have your favorite meal and spend that time reflecting and thinking about where you are right now. It’s another thing that is small, but worthwhile.

Enjoy your independence.

Everyone needs time to themselves sometimes, so while you have that time to yourself, make sure you are doing things that you enjoy. Spend that quality time with yourself and take the time to cultivate the things that you want. Do with your independence what you want to do and don’t let anyone take it away from you. The best part of dating yourself is getting to make all of your own decisions.

Appreciate yourself.

When it comes to dating yourself and truly enjoying that quality time, you have to learn to appreciate who you are and why you matter. We live in a society where people often look down on themselves because they don’t want to seem self-absorbed, but it’s important to give yourself some credit. Learn to appreciate who you are and the things you have accomplished.

Spend time on your hobbies.

I truly believe that there is no better way to spend time with yourself than working on your hobbies. Your hobbies are things that you are interested in, so when you are dating yourself it’s good to take some time to spend working on those hobbies and passions. It can only help you grow in both skill and love for yourself. So take the time to spend on your hobbies every chance you get.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let us know in the comments what your favorite way to date yourself is. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!

I love this article! I’ve always taken myself on me-dates ever since I was in a long distance relationship for 3.5 years. To this day, even married, I still love going to the movies by myself!
