Hey guys! Welcome back. I think most of us have probably met guys that we thought we liked, only to realize they didn’t really live up to the expectations we had. And sometimes people will get into a relationship with someone like that in the hopes that they will change them. But I don’t think, for the most part, that this is a good idea. You may not have doubts about your feelings for this person. They have qualities that you really like and want to pursue. However, there are also things about him that worry you. Maybe you are different in ways that make you incompatible. Maybe there are personality and behavior traits that you aren’t really fond of. In this situation, you know that he isn’t your soulmate and you can’t see a future with him at this time.

And even though you know you both have flaws and you don’t expect any guy who comes into your life to be perfect, there are still things about this guy that you just can’t bring yourself to accept. You are worried that the two of you won’t manage to get along very long and that you aren’t as compatible as you would like to be. Maybe you are even thinking you should just listen to your heart and ignore the negative thoughts and just see where things go. But maybe that’s not always the best idea.

Sometimes we fall into these relationships with people we hope will change. But that’s not really fair to the other person. You wouldn’t want to be in relationship with someone who was trying to change things about you just because you aren’t compatible with them. I think in this situation it’s important to trust your gut and really think about the things you see that you don’t really like in a person. Because even though there are things that you really like, if there are things you don’t like enough to know that you can’t see a future with them right now as they are, they aren’t the person for you.

People don’t always change. And when they do change it should be because they want to do it for them. It should be a decision that they make and choices that they make. It shouldn’t be to be in a relationship with someone who doesn’t really like certain things about them. Just let them go and wait for the person to come along that you aren’t looking to change. You deserve more than to be hurt and heartbroken if in the end you still aren’t getting what you had hoped for.

On the other side, you deserve more than to be in a relationship with someone who is trying to change you. Don’t stay with someone who can’t accept you for who you are and what you bring to the relationship. You are good enough as you are and anyone who can’t see that is not worth your time. It’s time to let go of the people who are wrong for us and seek out the people who see us as we are and appreciate us. Because we all deserve to be loved completely as we are.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let us know in the comments what your thoughts are. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!

  2. I’d say people rarely change, if at all. Sooner or later their real nature takes over, even if they try to change. Changing takes a lot of effort and commitment, while it’s a very rare person that has the dedication to do it. You’ve mentioned some very good points in this post!
