Hey guys! Welcome back. Having a strong mother comes with it’s ups and downs. Sometimes it’s really great, but sometimes it’s a bit more than one can handle. But I believe that having a strong mother can be beneficial and can really teach us more than we know at the time. So today I wanted to take an opportunity to share with you some of the things you can learn if you have a strong mother.

1. It’s okay to fall, but at some point you have to stand back up.

As your life goes on, you will be faced with obstacles and challenges and sometimes they might knock you down. You might fall after the end of a relationship, losing a job you really liked, or another major life event that you aren’t prepared for. However, even if you fall down or fall apart, you have to learn to stand back up, dust yourself off, and move forward. Because in life the most important thing is not how many times you fall, but how many times you choose to get back up.

2. People will disappoint you.

You will meet a variety of different people in your life. Some will stick around forever, some will stick around temporarily, and some won’t stick around at all. Some people will just take advantage of you. There really is no way around being disappointed at some point in your life. But you have to learn to live with this. And you also have to remember that just because some people might disappoint you, that doesn’t mean that everyone is out to disappoint you. You’ll know when it’s right.

3. Sometimes love hurts.

Guys will come and go in your life. In fact, one of the biggest disappointments you will face is how many guys you have to go through. Some will take advantage of you, some won’t be as interested in you as you might have hoped, and some will even pretend that they love you. But it’s important to know that no amount of heartbreak is worth giving up on love. You have so much to offer and the right guy will come along and see that. Don’t close your heart, just make sure your eyes are open.

4. You are enough.

Just because there are guys out there who are immature or rude doesn’t mean that you are not enough. You are enough just the way you are and if he can’t see that and love you for what you are, you don’t need him in your life. It’s important to focus more on what you are and what you have than on what you don’t have. And the right guy is going to come along and see you for exactly what you are. And that person won’t expect anything more than what you are. Don’t settle for anything less than that.

5. Life is short.

Life is too short to not really be living. Life is too short to not spend the time you have doing things you enjoy, making an impact where you can, and finding the things that you are truly passionate about. Don’t plan things out because you never know what plan is in store for you. You never know what is coming next. Live your life in the absolute best way that you can and don’t let people try to hold you back. Do the things that make you happy and leave the rest behind.

6. Don’t let a man take your independence.

It’s nice to have people that you can depend on, but you should never get to a point where you feel like you are solely relying on your partner. Always make sure that if anything were to happen that you would be alright on your own. You are already complete on your own and you don’t need anyone to rescue you. Don’t live to satisfy someone just because you are afraid he will leave because if he does leave it means he wasn’t the one for you.

7. Happiness comes from you.

Happiness is not a destination. Happiness is an emotion and a feeling. And just like every other feeling and emotion, it doesn’t always stick around. Just like hunger, anger, boredom, and every other emotion, it will come and go. So it’s important to find the things that make you happy and allow yourself to have them in your life. Find the things that make you happy and fight for them. Create your own happiness because no one else can do it for you.

8. Always trust what your gut is telling you.

Your gut is rarely wrong, so it’s really a good idea to listen to what it is telling you. You should use that gut feeling as much as you can because it’s not always around. So when it does come around you should trust it because it’s usually pretty accurate. Always listen to yourself because if you don’t try things your way you will never know if it’s the right thing to do or not. Listen to your gut because it’s not likely that it will disappoint you, like as we have already learned, people sometimes do.

9. Always have faith.

Whether it is in God, in yourself, or whatever you choose to believe in, always have faith. You will be burdened with many problems in your life and you need to have faith that things will work out the way they are meant to in the end. Don’t worry about the small things because that won’t change anything. Be strong and believe that if you work hard and keep being good, things will eventually work out for you. Make your own decisions and know your worth.

10. Always take responsibility.

You will never be perfect. You will make mistakes and bad decisions. There isn’t any way around it. It’s going to happen. But it doesn’t matter how mistakes you make. What is important is knowing that you have to own up to them. If you mess something up, don’t let someone else take the fall. Correct the situation and always be responsible for the things that you do. Be strong and admit when you make mistakes because people will respect you more for it.
