Hey guys! Welcome back. It’s no secret that break ups are difficult. They make us sad, lonely, and we we sometimes have a difficult time moving on. But there are some bright sides to breaking up with someone and I wanted to share those with you today. These are things that you gain when you lose someone you were in a relationship with.
1. You get your life back.
When you are in a relationship for a significant period of time, your life starts to mesh with the other person’s life. You get into a routine, you start doing certain things together, and your life kind of just becomes one. But when you lose that person you get your own life back. You get to make decisions that are just based on what you want and need. You get to have more control and you get to do things your own way.
2. You get self-respect.
Being on your own teaches you a lot of things, and one of those things is how to be on your own. And being on your own will give you confidence and self-esteem because you will see how much you can do on your own. You start to respect who you are and you are able to move on from the relationship a lot quicker. Breaking up allows you to see what you want in a relationship and what you don’t want.
3. You get more time.
Obviously when you are in a relationship there is a lot of time spent with the other person. Whether you are going out, hanging out at home, or talking on the phone, you spend a lot of time with one another. So after you break up with someone, you find that you have a lot more time to do other things like seeing friends and family and working on your goals and hobbies.
4. You gain freedom.
When you are in a relationship you should be taking the other person into consideration. And not because you should ever have to ask permission to do anything, but when you care about another person you try to take them into consideration. So when you break up you get your freedom back. You are free to do the things you want, see the people you want, and not worry about factoring in anyone else.
5. You gain new opportunities.
Just like with gaining freedom, when you are single you have more opportunities at your feet. If there is a job you really want, but have to move for, you don’t have to worry about a partner and what they want. If there is an opportunity to travel, you don’t have to worry about if your partner wants to go or how to handle that situation. The point is, if you want it, you don’t have to worry about another person.
And those are the five things that you gain when a relationship ends. Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did.
