Hey guys! Welcome back. Since it is officially Spring and it’s finally started to feel like it outside, I figured it was a good time to share an updated morning routine with you guys. I have really tried to minimize the things I try to do in the morning because if we’re being honest, I don’t always get up in time to do a ton of stuff. So I try to keep it pretty simple. So here is my updated morning routine for Spring 2020.
I have really enjoyed working out recently and I have to do it in the morning because by the time I get off work I am exhausted and my body is sore. So I start my mornings off with a workout that way it is done and I don’t have to worry about it for the rest of the day. And it’s something that really wakes me up and prepares me for the rest of my day.
I love breakfast. It’s my favorite meal and I like to have something that will give me some energy and help me stay full for a while since I don’t really have time for lunch. I usually try to eat some eggs and toast or something that is very filling but isn’t too unhealthy. I try to avoid a lot of sugar in the morning.
After I eat I like to get a shower. I don’t know why I eat first, but it’s just what I have been doing lately. I guess maybe to let my body rest a bit. But I get a shower and sometimes I listen to some music or a podcast while I am in the shower. It helps put me in a better mood starting the day.
4. Get ready.
I start with washing my face and putting my moisturizer on. This is a must no matter what I am doing that day. If I have to go to work or something that day I will do my makeup next because I don’t want to get it on my clothes. And then I will get dressed according to what the day holds.
5. Social media updates.
This is not something that I do everyday, but it is something I want to start doing again. It kind of fell off once everything with the coronavirus hit, but I want to get back into it. So once I am ready for the day I sit down and update all of my social media profiles. I want to make sure that I am connecting with all of you in as many ways as I can.
6. Quiet Time.
Once I am ready and I have everything else done, I like to make sure I carve out some time for my quiet time. I recently shared my quiet time routine which you can read here if you are interested. But this is a great way for me to end my morning routine and really get into the rest of my day.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let us know in the comments what your morning routine consists of these days (if you have one). Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
