Hey guys! Welcome back. If you are anything like me you probably overthink quite a bit. You worry about things that shouldn’t matter and you focus on things that are really important in the moment. So today I wanted to share five things that won’t really bother you as much once you realize how much you are worth. These are things that you will stop trying to achieve or find.
1. Being perfect.
No one is perfect, but as someone who didn’t know their worth for a long time, I struggled with that. I thought I had to be perfect in order for anyone to like me or accept me. I thought I couldn’t make mistakes or mess up. But I started to realize that I couldn’t be perfect and I wasn’t getting anywhere by trying. The right people will accept me for who I am and I won’t have to try to be perfect.
2. Always getting what you want.
Life doesn’t always give us what we think we deserve. We can’t always have everything we want. And once you realize your worth, you will start to see that everything life hands you is for a reason. It may not be what you thought you wanted at the time, but it’s what you need in the moment. So once you realize who you are and why you matter, you won’t focus so much on getting everything that you want.
3. Comparing yourself to others.
I will admit that this is a hard habit to break no matter what. Most of us struggle with this problem. But I think once you start to see your own worth, you stop comparing it so much to the worth of others. You are enough just as you are and focusing on someone else will only make it more difficult for you to see that. But I promise once you can recognize yourself for who you are, you won’t focus on others as much.
4. Needing someone to make you happy.
This is a big one. Oftentimes when we don’t recognize our own worth and what we have to offer, we look to others to validate us or make us happy. But once you are able to recognize your own worth you stop needing to depend on someone else to do that. You are able to be happy with who you are and where you are in life. So work on making your own happiness and knowing your worth as a person.
5. What others think of you.
Once you know your own worth you really do stop caring as much what other people think of you. It’s not an easy thing to do as humans because we naturally get upset when people think negatively of us. However, it is important to remember that as long as you are doing what is best for you and staying true to who you are, it doesn’t really matter what other people think.
