Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you had a great weekend! Today I wanted to come on here and talk about something I just really wanted to share. Not only because it connects you with me a little better, but also because it might help me stay a little more accountable. So today I am going to share with you some bad habits that I am trying to put to rest. Hopefully I can overcome all of these and if you are struggling with any of these, just know that you are not alone. So here are the bad habits I am trying to quit!

Eating my feelings.

I have a really bad habit of eating my feelings. I eat when I’m sad, when I’m happy, when I’m bored, when I’m anxious, and so much more. The only times I don’t eat my feelings are when I’m super sick or super depressed. And over the past several months I have really been working on not turning to food and turning to more productive ways of processing my feelings because turning to food just isn’t doing me any favors.

Going to bed late.

I love sleep and I need a lot of it not just so I can feel more energized, but also because if I don’t get enough sleep my anxiety gets really bad and my stomach starts messing up really badly. So I really need to kick this habit of staying up as late as possible and start going to bed a little earlier so I can actually get some real rest. I know it’s something I could greatly benefit from.

I try not to complain too often, but I still catch myself doing it from time to time. And I’m starting to really see the negative effects of it. Now sometimes I do need to vent and talk things out with someone. I think that’s healthy. But I don’t want to constantly complain about everything because I think there are just bigger and better things to be doing with that time.

Hitting snooze.

Hitting the snooze button is something I have become very familiar with (mostly because of the staying up late). But I really want to start getting up when my alarm goes off the first time because then I know I will have plenty of time to do all the things that I want to do and I know I won’t be late. Also, hitting snooze isn’t really getting me that much more sleep anyway.

Ignoring my financial health.

I wouldn’t say I ever really ignored it, but I never really had that much money to pay attention to anyway. So now that I am saving and working towards bigger things, I am really trying to pay more attention to budgeting and keeping track of everything. It’s a lot and not something anyone ever really shared with me, but I really want to make sure I stay on top of things.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let us know in the comments a bad habit that you are trying to quit. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!

Why is it so hard to go to bed on time? I too love sleep, so you’d think I’d want to start it earlier in the night, but there I am, struggling to keep my eyes open while a read, “just a little more.”

    1. Yes!!! I often find that I’m so tired that I don’t want to get up and turn my light out. So I just stay up working. Or watching YouTube videos.

  2. Ah, this was a great post- I feel like I complain quite bit too, so trying to reshape my language to be positive. Thank you for posting xx

I go to bed on time but I can’t sleep. My eyes are so tired but my thinking is going on. ( my E is not good. I hope you could understand me!)

Interesting post. I don’t have trouble going to bed on time but I also eat when am sad or anxious. Guilty of eating my feelings. I try to keep my head busy with some work or the other so i don’t think about food.
