Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I am going to do something that I don’t do very often which is share my opinion on a topic that many people disagree on. I get asked quite often if as a Christian I support the LGBTQ+ community, and the blunt answer to that is yes I do. I don’t think that people of this community should be treated or looked at any differently than the rest of you.

I believe if someone is lucky enough to know who they are, they should feel at peace with that and be able to live their lives. I believe if someone is lucky enough to find lasting love with someone, regardless of who it is, they should be allowed to be with whomever that is. I don’t believe that it is anyone’s right to judge someone else for their gender or their sexuality.

Life is far too short and there are too many much more important things to worry about then someone else’s life and what they identify as. I think if we all focused a little more on ourselves and not other people then the world would be a better place. I don’t have room in my heart to judge someone else. I believe all people are equal and should be treated as such.

I will never be able to understand how people can be so rude and unkind to a group of people who are just trying to live their lives and be happy. It is not something that I feel needs to be debated. Just let people live. I support the LGBTQ+ community. Not only my friends and the people in my life who are a part of this community, but all people who are in this community whether I know them or not.

I truly believe that everyone has a right to live their lives in peace. It is not our place to judge or make anyone feel bad for who they are. No one should be ashamed or afraid of who they truly are. People in the LGBTQ+ community are more then just their sexuality. They have likes and dislikes, fears and successes. They should be seen as more than that and not judged for who they are attracted to.

I recognize that I will not be able to change anyone’s mind with this post, and that’s okay. That was not my intent. My intent was to share my thoughts and my answer to a question I get quite often. I do support the LGBTQ+ community and anyone who is a part of it. I do not support anyone who thinks it is their place to judge someone or mock them for who they are.

You may not agree with what I have said here, and if not, that’s okay. But I ask that you please don’t leave rude comments or messages for me. Just move on and let it go. We need to come from a place of love, not hate. There is already enough bad going on in the world right now. So please keep the negativity to yourself. But if you have positivity and love, please spread it in the comments!
