Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you are having a fantastic weekend. It is the end of the month, so I am back with my recap of this month and my goals for next month. I am so excited to share with you all the things I have been loving and doing this month and what I have planned for next month.
You may have noticed that I changed the title a little bit and that’s because I am changing the monthly posts up a little bit. Instead of just sharing my favorites from the month, I am going to do a recap of the month. So it’s kind of like my weekly recap posts and I will take you back through my month and everything that happened.
May started off to a rocky start because I was super sick and was having stomach problems for the last days of April and first couple of days in May. But I eventually recovered and came back. I started this month with a goal of being more open and vulnerable with you guys and I think I did that.
In one of my first posts this month I shared ten things I have learned that have changed my life. It turned out to be an extremely popular post and it really helped me start opening up and sharing more about me with you guys. I will link that post here if you want to go check it out.
I also shared my May Q&A earlier this month which is also a huge crowd pleaser most months. I get to answer your questions and interact with you in a way I don’t get to often. So I love these Q&A posts. I am currently accepting questions for June’s Q&A if you have any. The link to May’s Q&A will be here.
I am going to link some of my favorite posts that you may have missed below. These are all posts that I absolutely loved writing and sharing with you guys. So if you missed any of these or want to check them out again, they will all be linked below. I hope you enjoy some of these.
Now I am going to share some of my favorites from the month of May. These are all things that I absolutely loved and have really kept me entertained and sane this month. I have loved all of these things I will most likely continue to love them for the rest of the Summer and beyond.
May 2020 Favorites:
I have loved cooking and baking for a really long time and this month I really started to get back into it. It’s so much fun, and even though I’m usually only cooking for me, I still love creating new things and getting to take that time just for myself. It really is a huge stress reliever for more.
I usually share specific products, but I literally didn’t try anything new this month, so you go to previous “Favorites” posts and read all about those products because it’s all the same. But I have loved doing my makeup and playing with different colors, looks, and techniques this month. I am excited to keep that going in the future.
Well Apartment Hunting more like. But even though I am not fully ready to get a place all on my own, I love looking at places and getting an idea of what I want and what I don’t want. I also like looking at furniture and home decor that I might like when I eventually am ready.
Hulu (And Netflix).
I have always loved Netflix and they have some really great shows and movies. But this month I have been watching a lot of Hulu and I really have been enjoying it. I have watched everything from Good Girls to The Hustle and now I have started The Masked Singer and I absolutely love it.
I found Steph a couple of weeks ago on YouTube and I love her. She does a ton of eating videos, so if you don’t like those I wouldn’t recommend. But I love her personality and all of her videos are so amazing. So if you someone to watch eat while you eat, I highly recommend checking her out.
June 2020 Goals:
1. Continue working out.
Getting a good work out in really makes me feel good. And even though I don’t work out everyday or anything, it is so much fun when I do. I try to switch it up and try new workouts. I find videos on YouTube or Pinterest to try out and I love just having fun with it and really getting a good sweat going.
2. Read two books.
I try to read as much as possible and I keep trying to get through at least one book. So hopefully this month I can get through two. That’s the goal anyway. I really want to get back into reading everyday and really just taking that time to relax and escape what’s going on in my life for a little bit.
3. Have at least two date nights.
Now that things are finally starting to open up a little bit, maybe now we can find more things that we can do. If not, we can continue doing what we usually do. But I would like to have at least two date nights where we do something fun and just spend some time together doing something we enjoy.
4. Post more to Instagram.
I know I say this a lot, but I think I am getting better. I am posting more now than I ever have before, especially on Instagram Stories. But I’m still not where I want to be. So this month I really want to post more on Instagram and bring you guys even more content and behind the scenes pictures and videos.
5. Work on Pinterest growth.
It’s no secret that Pinterest helps a lot of bloggers grow and gain new views and followers. And even though I grow pretty good without Pinterest, I know from the past that Pinterest can only help and get me to my goals even faster. So this month I want to get back to posting on Pinterest and sharing my content more.
