Hey guys! Welcome back. I think it’s really good to treat yourself sometimes, especially if you can do it without spending any money. Everyone treats themselves differently and has different things that they like. But today I thought it would be really fun to share with you the top ten biggest ways that I treat myself.
1. Doing nothing.
Honestly, this may not seem like something someone would do to treat themselves, but sometimes this is a treat. Sometimes it’s nice to be able to just sit and relax and not worry about anything. It’s not always possible to treat yourself in this way, but if you can, I highly recommend it. You deserve a break every now and again, so if you have some empty spots in your calendar, just leave them blank.
2. Have a snack.
Sometimes a snack is just what I need. Whether it’s something sweet or something salty, it’s nice to just have a snack sometimes. So whenever I feel like I need a little pick me up or need to get some energy back, I will have a snack. I have quite a few favorites and it really depends on what kind of mood I am. But this is one of the fastest ways that I tend to treat myself.
3. Doing my nails.
Doing my nails is not something that I get around to doing a lot, so when I do get to do it it’s nice to be able to just sit and relax. So when it comes time to find a way to treat myself, sometimes that is just carving out some time to sit and do my nails. It’s so relaxing and I love having freshly painted nails. So it’s always a treat when I get to do my nails or get my nails done.
4. Go for a walk outside.
Walking is one of my favorite things to do. Not only is it super relaxing, but it also burns some calories. There are so many benefits of walking outside and once I put my headphones in, there is no stopping me anytime soon. Being able to take some time out of my day to just spend that time walking around outside enjoying the fresh air is a huge treat for me.
I have mentioned this before but I don’t always prioritize reading the way that I should. But reading is something that I really enjoy. So when I am looking for a way to escape and just spend some time by myself, reading a great book is a great way for me to be able to do that. It’s a nice treat to get to spend some quality time by myself and just lay low for a little while.
6. Watch something.
Sometimes it might be a YouTube video or a TV Show or a movie. Regardless, when I want to treat myself, sometimes I will take some time to watch something that I love or that I think is funny. It always helps me lift my spirits and feel a bit better about the things going on in my life and in the world. So when I want to treat myself, sometimes I treat myself to watching something.
7. Buy a new outfit.
Now this one will cost money, but sometimes retail therapy is exactly what you need and the best way to treat yourself. For me personally, sometimes when I really want to treat myself one of the first things that comes to mind is shopping for a new outfit. It’s fun, it’s easy, and I am a firm believer that you can never have too many clothes. And honestly this is one of my favorite ways to treat myself.
8. Cook or bake something.
Cooking and baking is one of my absolute favorite things to do. It is so therapeutic for me and it’s something I have always enjoyed. So when I really want to treat myself I will get the stuff to whip up a recipe that I really want to try or that I really love. It’s a great way for me to let loose and just focus on whatever recipe I am trying to follow. It really helps me clear my mind.
9. Go to bed early.
When I really want to treat myself, especially after a long week at work, one of my favorite ways to treat myself is by going to bed early. I put away my phone and my computer early and just go to bed. Sometimes I will read, but more often than not I just go right to sleep. Sleep is so important and I think any chance we get to do that we definitely should.
10. Listen to music.
I like to listen to music no matter what I am doing, but when I am really feeling like treating myself to something and really just resting for a while, I will just turn on some music and sit for a while. It helps me take my mind off of things and just relax. I really love music because there is a song for every mood and emotion. So this is another way I really love treating myself.
