Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I wanted to do something more laid back and come on here and talk about some things that I am grateful for. I think it is really easy for us to get caught up in all the things that are going wrong and things we aren’t grateful for that we forget to pay attention to what we do have. So in the midst of everything going on right now I think it’s important to show gratitude for what we have. And here are ten things that I am grateful for.
Music has been a huge part of my life for a very long time. I love listening to music. There’s something about it that really just heals my soul. No matter what I am going through or how I’m feeling there is always a song that I can connect to and listen to. And sometimes it’s just fun!
2. New opportunities.
Sometimes these opportunities don’t come at the most opportune time or they aren’t what I expected them to be. But I am grateful for new opportunities and the chance I have to do bigger things and move forward with things I want to do. I am grateful that God gives me these opportunities, no matter how He gives them to me.
3. Compassionate people.
There aren’t a lot of people in the world that show compassion towards other people. At least not in my world. People are always quick to take advantage of people or not be understanding. So I am extremely grateful for the compassionate people that I do have the privilege of knowing.
4. The mistakes I have made.
I know this may seem like a weird thing to be grateful for, but I am. I think that making mistakes is a huge part of life and we learn from these things. So when it comes to being grateful for things, I think this is one that cannot be skipped. Just like new opportunities, making mistakes helps me grow and I couldn’t ask for more than that.
5. The ability to be creative.
I don’t know what my life would be like if I wasn’t creative. I don’t know what I would do or what I would enjoy. So I am extremely grateful for the ability that I have to be creative and do what I get to do on a daily basis. It means a lot that I get to not only be creative, but also share it with the world.
6. Everyday wins.
There are successes and failures in everyday, and I am especially grateful for the wins. May they be small, but they are great. The everyday successes that I have are really important because they help bring me one step closer to being where I want to be and who I want to be.
7. Close friends.
There are so many negative people in the world and so many people just looking for ways to hurt you. So I am grateful to have close friends who I can turn to when the world gets just a little too dark and I start feeling alone. I am grateful that I have people in my life who can bring light and positivity.
8. Alone time.
I thrive the most in my alone time, especially in the evening hours. So this is something that I am extremely grateful to have. Alone time provides peace and serenity that I need on my busiest days and my most relaxing days. Spending time with myself is something that my body and mind truly need.
9. Movie nights.
Movie nights are so fun and relaxing. Whether they are alone or with the right person, having a nice movie night is something that I thoroughly enjoy. So I always look forward to planning a good movie night and taking that time as either alone time or time spent with someone else.
10. My strength and resilience.
Life is not always easy and it’s not always fair. Life throws a lot of curve balls and sometimes life is just a pain. But I am grateful that I have the strength and resilience that I need to keep going and move forward in the face of even my darkest times. Sometimes I can be my own worst enemy, but with strength and resilience I know I can push through.
