Hey guys! Welcome back. So today I wanted to share a few of my thoughts on creativity. I think creativity is super important and it’s something we should all have in our lives in some way. For some people it’s art, for some it’s design, for some it’s writing, for some it’s recipes, and for other it’s something else. Whatever your creative outlet is, I think it is important because it helps us work on something and enjoy ourselves. So today I really wanted to share some of my thoughts on creativity.

It’s okay to not be great at it at first.

The thing about being creative is people often think they have to be great at whatever their creative outlet is immediately. However, I don’t think that’s true. I think it’s okay to not be great at first, as long as it’s something you enjoy. Because if you enjoy it, you are more willing to work on it and keep going with it. So just because you aren’t good at something doesn’t mean you have to just give up completely immediately.

Give it some time. Keep working at it. Make time for it and practice. Because the thing about whatever you creative outlet that some people don’t think about is that you will be learning. Being creative helps you keep learning. It helps you grow and think differently which is something we should never stop doing. Also, having a creative outlet is a great stress reliever which never hurt anyone.

It’s your decisions to share or not.

It just so happens that my creative outlet is writing and that I choose to share it with all of you everyday. However, I do have other creative projects (some writing, some not writing) that I don’t share with other people. And one of the great things about having your own creativity is that you get to decide whether you want to share it with others or not. You get to decide what you want to do with your own creativity.

I think that creativity is unique to the person creating it. And that sometimes means that you don’t share it with other people, and that’s okay. Don’t let anyone try to guilt you into sharing it. If you come to a point where you want to share it then that’s your choice and you will do so when you feel the time is right. But ultimately it is up to you to do what you want with your creative projects.

Not everyone will love it.

Not everyone is going to love everything you do. Not everyone is even going to understand everything you do. But the thing about creativity is that it’s not required to be perfect for everyone. It’s just for you. What you create is up to you and if you love it, then that’s good enough. You don’t need the approval of everyone else because the likelihood of you getting it is very low.

Not everyone is going to love what you create, but that doesn’t mean it’s not good. Just because some people have negative comments does not mean that you failed. It just means that you created something. It’s that simple. It is impossible to please everyone no matter what you are doing. So don’t give up just because some people don’t love it. If you love it, that’s all that matters.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let us know in the comments what your thoughts on creativity are. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
