Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far. We all know that 2020 has been a less than perfect year for most of us. It’s had many downsides that we won’t be forgetting anytime soon. However, I wanted to put a positive spin on things here today an share some of the upsides to this year and some positive things that have happened, for me at least. So here are some upsides to the crazy year that will forever be known as 2020.

More down time.

Because literally most things were shut down and most people were urged to stay home for a period of time, most of us had more down time than normal. And it may have seemed awful in the beginning, but once we got into the groove it was actually really nice. It gave us time to do things we had been ignoring or putting off. Or it gave you a chance to rest and relax more than usual. Either way, down time can sometimes be a good thing.

A focus on the important things.

So often we get so caught up in our jobs and our social lives and keeping up with everyone and everything that we lose sight of the things that are really important to us. So this year has helped remind us of those things and gave us an opportunity to hit the restart and spend time getting back to the things that are most important to us.

Strengthening/ending relationships.

Something that has been a running theme over the past several months is people either talking about how their relationship has become stronger because of quarantine or that they have decided to divorce or end their relationship because of quarantine. So it seems to be helping people evaluate their relationship and either work through things or realize it’s time to end.

Realizing what we don’t need.

This whole year has really helped us sit back and think about the things we need in our lives and the things that aren’t really essential. It has taught us that we can live without going to the movies every weekend or going out to bars all the time. It has taught us that we don’t really need super busy lives to be happy.

Realizing you are more capable than you thought.

I bet in the beginning you thought you would go completely insane, and maybe you did a little bit. But you also accomplished something. Whether you were super productive and decluttered your whole house or took some time to just relax and recharge, you did something. You survived. And that’s something worth noting.

It hasn’t been perfect. So much bad and negativity has happened. But I feel it is my duty as a content creator and as your friend to remind you of some of the positive. So there it is. Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let us know in the comments an upside to this crazy year you have noticed. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you in the next one!
