Hey guys! Welcome back. Since we are in a new month I figured I would go ahead and do this month’s Q&A for you guys. I asked you for questions on Instagram (and Twitter) and I got quite a few from Instagram. So as always make sure you are following me on both of those platforms so you can participate in the future. But for now I will be answering some of the questions you guys have. Also, at the end of today’s post I will be asking some questions to you that I would love your feedback on! So be sure to stick around for that!
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Thoughtful, funny, and patient.
What’s inspiring you in life right now?
Reading the Bible everyday.
What makes you smile the most?
People who are funny.
What is a negative quality you have?
I don’t know if this counts, but I get super attached to people really quickly. I’m not sure that it counts, but I definitely have been hurt by it in the past. So I’m going with that.
What is something you’re really bad at, but have interest in getting better at?
Biggest change in your life since this time last year?
There have been so many, but probably graduating college. It was my life for four years and now it’s not. Also, I didn’t get married.
Top five favorite movies?
Oh goodness. I don’t know if I have five, but I will list as many as I can.
How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days: Definitely a top favorite. Maybe my favorite of all times.
Suffragette: If you love history or female empowerment, stop what you’re doing and go watch this movie. It will change your life.
The Devil Wears Prada: Another classic.
Sweet Home Alabama: For all my southern sisters out there.
Why Him?: I love this movie. It’s so funny and I just think it’s a really great comedy.
Turns out I did have five!!!
What are you most excited to do this Fall?
Probably decorate. I also have so much Fall content that I am excited to share with you guys.
Will you ever do a clothing haul?
I do plan on doing them in the future in vlogs and stuff.
How are you doing?
I’m doing really well right now. Excited about the future.
What is something new you’ve discovered about yourself recently?
That I’m not as unlucky as I thought. Every bad thing or negative situation I have found myself in has always led to something much better. So just because it’s bad doesn’t mean that it’s not there for a reason. Also, my therapist recently told me that the presence of pain does not equal the absence of God. So just because I am going through a rough time or something bad has happened does not mean that God has left my side. It means He is going through it with me and that is where a lot of my strength comes from.
How do you get over a break up without wanting to cry everyday?
I’ll tell you what I do, but I can’t guarantee this will work for everyone. But I literally block them after the relationship is over. And I don’t unblock them. I don’t go back. I don’t talk to them. I don’t allow them to talk to me. And I remember that we broke up for probably many reasons and that I will be okay. But the key is to not talk to them and eventually you stop thinking about them so much. It does get easier with time, so just stay strong and know that you will get through. But give yourself time and grace. Be patient. It’s hard and you’re allowed to be sad.
What is something you want to work on this upcoming year?
Honestly, myself. In every way that I possibly can. I want to come out of this year an even better version of myself.
When do you think you’ll start dating again?
I don’t really know. It’s not something that I’m really planning for. It’ll happen when it happens. Right now I’m more worried about moving and getting settled in and everything before I start dating again.
What is your love language?
My love language is acts of service. I love when people do things for me and help me when I need it. But I also love doing things for other people.
And those are all the questions that I have to answer today! If you have questions for future Q&A post or videos, leave them in the comments or follow me on social media so you can ask questions when I ask for them there. But now I have some questions for you relating to the podcast and YouTube. I currently have polls on Twitter and Instagram, but I wanted to ask here as well just so everyone has an opportunity to weigh in and give their thoughts and opinions.
The first question is relating to the podcast. I have been getting requests from people on social media and emails if I will do a Bible Study podcast. So instead of doing the podcast like I have been I do a Bible Study/religious podcast. I know that not everyone is religious or loves religious content, but so far people who have responded on social media have really been into the idea. But I want as much feedback as possible before I make the decision. All other content will be staying the same. Only the podcast will be switched to a Bible Study. For this I would be talking about scriptures, talking about topics you guys have questions about, and things of that nature. So if it’s something you would be interested in, let me know in the comments or go vote on social media!
The second question is about YouTube content. I saw Sophdoeslife do a video where she tests products and brands that are heavily sponsored on YouTube and social media. I thought it would be fun to do something like that. So if this is something you are interested in, let me know what brands or products you would like to see me try out! I could do them all in one video or spread them out over several videos. But let me know if there are any that you would like to see. Any brands or products that you are curious about, but really want an unsponsored opinion before you try it out!
Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let me know in the comments if you have questions for me and what your thoughts on the questions I asked you are. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
