Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you have had a great week. I am officially back after my little break and I couldn’t be more happy to be here sharing with you guys again. Today I will be sharing with you something that was supposed to go up on Tuesday, but because I didn’t have an internet connection the one that was scheduled didn’t end up posting. So today I am going to be talking to you about why my siblings will always be my best friends. As a quick disclaimer, I don’t call my step-siblings my step-siblings. To me they are my siblings just as much as my two brothers are. So this is about all of them collectively.

My siblings have always been a huge part of my life, but especially these past few years. I have grown really close to my younger brother and sister and I genuinely don’t know what I would do without them. They truly have become my best friends and I wanted to share today why, no matter what, that will always be the case. I wanted to share some of the most important things that my siblings offer me that I just don’t know if another person could provide those same things in a friendship. So here are some reasons why my siblings are my best friends and will continue to be no matter what.

1. They know everything about me.

Okay, they don’t know everything. But they know a lot more than most people. I know that I can always confide in my siblings and share things that I can’t share with anyone else. With that, they know the most about me. My brother and I share quite a bit with one another and in a lot of ways share some very similar thoughts and feelings about things. I would be willing to say that my brother knows me better than anyone at this point. There have been a lot of secrets spilled between the two of us and that has helped our relationship grow a great deal.

2. I trust them.

I trust all of my siblings not only with the things that I tell them, but also just in general. I think in any friendship it is important to be able to trust the other person and for them to be able to trust you. And I have no problem with trust with any of my siblings. It’s really nice to be able to have such a strong connection and know that I don’t have to worry about anything with them. I know I can count on them and that they can count on me. It really is a beautiful thing.

3. They are understanding.

I don’t always have all the answers. I don’t always have everything figured out. And when the whole world expects me to, but I just don’t, my siblings understand. They never ask me questions about how I’m going to do something or why I would want to do something. They are supportive in ways that most people are not. They ask insightful questions without trying to tear down my goals or my dreams. We even have similar things that we want to achieve sometimes.

4. I can talk to them for hours and never get bored.

I can’t tell you how many late night conversations my brother, sister, and I have had. And they range from the most goofiest conversations to some pretty serious conversations. I can genuinely talk to them and never get bored. I can be around them for any amount of time and never feel like it’s been too long or I want to leave. They are so fun and easy to talk to and no matter what the conversation is I know I can have it with them and we will have a great time. It’s always nice to have someone like that in your life.

5. They are who they are.

My siblings are both very different from each other, but also different from me. We don’t like all the same things, we are all different ages (my sister is significantly younger than me), and we just have different perspectives on things. But I honestly wouldn’t change any of that for the world. I love that we are different because it makes the things we have in common even better. It also gives a chance to learn about new things and potentially broaden what we like and what we do have in common. It’s really fun and it makes those conversations even better!

6. My sister is an answered prayer.

I get questions quite often about how I deal when God doesn’t answer my prayers or how I know that God hears my prayers. My sister is the only evidence that I need that God hears and answers my prayers. Ever since I was six years old I have a sister. And I knew that my parents wouldn’t have more children and I really didn’t think it would happen. But as I got older I started to pray about it. And I sensed God saying no. But really He was just saying, “Not right now”. And then a few years ago my prayer was answered and I got my sister exactly when I needed her the most!

Those are the reasons that my siblings will always be my best friends! Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did.
