Hey guys! Welcome back. Since I have moved, all of my routines have pretty much changed. And since I have been here for a couple of weeks, I have found a pamper routine that works for me and that I really love. And you guys loved my morning routine post so much, so I figured I would share another routine with you guys. I’m still working on my night routine because honestly they just aren’t all the same, but that one will come as soon as I nail it down. But here is my current pamper routine.
Set the mood.
When it comes to pampering myself and relaxing, setting the mood is absolutely essential. I love the idea of having a relaxing night, but if it doesn’t feel peaceful, I just can’t get into it. So this is complete with many different things. I start with a specific playlist that creates a relaxing and peaceful vibe. I also have to make sure my space is clean because otherwise that’s all I will think about. I also put on some super comfortable clothes because it’s really hard to relax in clothes you don’t feel good in.
A relaxing bubble bath.
It’s not a pamper routine for me if it doesn’t include a bubble bath at some point. I love a good bubble bath especially on the weekend after working really hard all week. It’s not something I do often, but when I do I go all out. So once the mood is set, I like to fill up my bath tub with warm water and bubbles and relax. Sometimes I read, sometimes I listen to a podcast, and sometimes I just sit there. But I am so excited to finally have my own bath tub that I can use for however long I want.
Do a face mask.
One of my favorite things to do is exfoliate my skin. Since my skin is so dry and it gets really itchy after a while, I find that it is so important to do a face mask as often as possible. So on these night where I am pampering myself, I spend a little extra time with the face mask. Sometimes I do it while I’m in the bath, but if I forget I do it right after. But I try to just relax and let the face mask work it’s magic for as long as possible because I don’t always make time for it otherwise.
Do my nails.
There are very few things in life that make me feel better or more satisfied than a fresh coat of nail polish. Since I usually end up letting my nails get so chipped and look really bad before I do anything about them, on these nights when I am pampering myself it is a must that I do my nails. I do my best to take care of them, but my nails are so thin and brittle that they need a lot of attention. So I really depend on these pampering nights to get the job done.
Do something just for me.
I tend to always catch myself working on something or doing something for someone else. It’s not often that I take a large amount of time just for myself. So on these night I really try to put everything away and just do something for me. Whether it is watching a movie, reading a book, or doing a project that I have been wanting to do for some time, I try to do something where the focus is completely on me and that I am not thinking or worrying about anything or anyone else.
