Hey guys! Welcome back. Today I am here with another post in my “Life Through My Eyes” series, and as you can see in the title, today we will be talking about my calling and how I’m finding it. And one very important detail to notice is that I say “finding”, not “found”. This is a very important detail that we will get into more a bit later, but I did want to point that out now so you can be thinking about that. But before we get too caught up in the details I wanted to introduce this topic to you a little bit. If you have been around for any length of time you know that I talk about purpose and calling a lot. I believe that everyone has a purpose in this world and that we all have a place and we belong. But I have really struggled with knowing and understanding what mine is.

A big reason for that is that I think I always have to have all the answers. I think if there is something I want to do or a goal I have that I have to know everything about it before I can try it. But something I am learning is that I don’t think our calling comes to us all at once. I think over time as we grow and learn more about ourselves, we learn more about our calling. It’s not a painting that is shown to us all at once, but rather a puzzle that we have to put together ourselves. We get different pieces at various points and we learn to put those pieces together to understand and learn more about our calling. And I think that’s why sometimes we feel scattered or not put together. It’s because we haven’t taken the time to put the pieces together yet.

But over these past few months I have started to see that my calling is coming together because I am starting to put a lot of different pieces together. I am beginning to see that it doesn’t all make sense because I am focusing on the wrong things at the wrong time. So I have started trying to reflect and look back and see how various things fit together. I am looking to see how my experiences, passions, and skills all go together to get me where I want to be. I look at my goals and see what I need to get there and how I can use what I have to get there. I’ll be honest, it’s not always that easy. It’s not easy to be patient all the time and try to put everything together. But I am learning that through that things are starting to become so much more clear.

My calling and purpose in life is becoming a lot more evident to me with passing time. Things are starting to make so much more sense now. I am starting to understand why certain things have happened, why I ended up where I am, and where I am supposed to go from here. It is definitely a lot to process and it gets really overwhelming at times, but I am growing so much through the process. I can’t wait to see what comes from this discovery and where it can take me in the future. And I hope that this helps you look at figuring out your purpose and calling in life like a puzzle more so than a painting that will just be handed to you. Put in a little work and a little effort and you might be surprised by what you discover about yourself and what you are doing in life.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let us know in the comments how you think your calling is found and what your thoughts are! I would love to know. I’m sure there are many different perspectives on this, so let’s have a conversation in the comments! I also would like to remind you to please do the reader survey if you have not already.
