Hey guys! Welcome back. I can’t believe it’s already Sunday again. But that’s actually really exciting. I love Sundays because I get to do a recap of my week for you guys and share what I have been up to. This week was nothing short of absolute excitement, so I’m ready to just dive right in. But before we get into the past week I do want to remind you that Blogmas is coming up very soon and I have some really exciting and fun things planned. So make sure you are following so you don’t miss out on any of that!
There was a lot going on this week and it was a really great week for me. I started planning for 2021 both personally and professionally and I have a lot of things to look forward to and to work toward in the upcoming year. I did a lot of reflecting on 2020 and it really did impact me in several ways. So when I look ahead at 2021 there are some things that I want to continue doing, stop doing, and start doing more of in the new year that is approaching. But I also want to hear from you! Coming next month I will be doing a Reader Survey so you can have some impact in what happens next year!
After the unpredictability and uncertainty of the past year, I will admit it feels a little strange planning for next year. Partly because I feel like 2020 unfairly cheated many of us out of opportunities, but also because 2020 showed us that things don’t always go as planned and things can change with the blink of an eye. But I try to remain hopeful and optimistic and at least plan for the things that I know I can control. It helps me make sure I am staying on track and working toward reaching my goals and moving forward.
We also decorated the apartment for Christmas this week! Since both of my roommates are leaving for Winter Break, we had to do it before they left. So we got the Christmas Tree put up and a lot of super cute decorations. Most of the decorations that we have actually came from the Dollar Tree so we got a ton of decorations that only cost $1. So really we were able to decorate for less that $30 minus the tree of course. But I think most, if not all, of the ornaments on the tree came from the Dollar Tree as well.
I have still been cooking real meals this past week and it’s still so much fun for me. I love cooking and baking. It’s so relaxing and I have so much fun doing it. I cooked a really big meal this past Tuesday and I posted a picture over on Instagram. But it’s so hard to only cook for one. So if you have any recipes or ideas for cooking for one please let me know in the comments. I am always looking for new things to try and ways to simplify my life in the process. So if you have recipes or videos that you can share with me I would greatly appreciate it.
I have been back on social media quite a bit this past week as well. I started the new Instagram last week I believe and there has been a lot posted since then. I even have a couple of IGTV videos up from today. That’s a new thing I am trying. I will be posting over there a lot more. I also posted my very first TikTok ever today. It’s a tour of all the Christmas decorations that I have in my room right now. It was really fun to make and I don’t know how often I will be posting over there, but if you want to see it you can go check it out @samnicholeproctor.
So that is my recap for this week. It was a really busy week, but really fun as well. I look forward to what’s to come over the next few weeks as we see this year come to an end. Hopefully 2021 gives us a fresh start and treats us a little better. Thank you so much for stopping by! I really hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let us know in the comments your favorite thing that you did this week and how your week went. We would love to know! Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
